I'm only halfway through 25 where all hell breaks loose, but does anyone have a take on WTH is going on with Li Mao? He seems accepting, then rounds up the whole Xiao family, imprisons the men, tortures his good buddy WuYi, stabs him in I guess a non-vital part of the gut---and then 10 minutes later they're making nice over tea. Then all this happens. Is he an early instance of a multiple personality? Was he always this cunning and ruthless and never really the innocent pawn he seemed? Did he just learn fast when he asked Grand Tutor to teach him to be like him? I'm so confused!
