It's Actually Not that bad for a short drama

I wasn't expecting much of it since it's a short drama. I'm watching from iqiyi and most of the shorts I watched there are nonsense and annoying with one dimensional character and scenes that is very unlikely to happen in real life. This one is actually okay. Instead of having unnecessary drama, it actually focuses on the relationship of the 2 leads.
She fell first but he fell harder. I just like their relationship so much. I didn't like it at first but as I am getting into the story, i kinda like it. The leads keep doing things I didn't expect, and the typical cliche I'm used to seeing(e.g. girls who like ML trying to kill her and get away with it, Company bullying for no particular reason). I like that this one is lighthearted, no unnecessary trouble. Her company friend like her and everyone acknowledge her beauty(I'm sick of other calling FL ugly/poor when she's beautiful and wearing NORMAL clothes). And this made me laugh at times.

There is many hole in ML character.

I watched this year ago and this is pleasant surprise from Du Yafei., i liked how he potrayed the ML. This is my first ever Wu Jialu drama's and her acting is quite comfortable to see.

FL disguises herself as an ugly woman to go on a blind date for her best friend, only to find that her blind date is actually her college classmate whom she has secretly loved for ten years. FL is filled with regret, thinking the blind date has failed, but unexpectedly, ML wants to take things further. What was thought to be a one-sided unrequited love turns out to be a cautious mutual affection and unrequited love. Facing various external interferences, such as misunderstandings and third-party intervention, their relationship goes through many twists and turns . Ultimately, they overcome the difficulties, bravely confess their feelings, and get together.

The biggest problem is that the ML is a scumbag. He's surrounded by women, has no boundaries whatsoever, and claims to treat them all like sisters. He even gets together with one of them for three months because she's his best friend's sister. How can he have the nerve to claim he love FL for 10 years. He cannot talk to FL to clear the misunderstanding.

Kissing scenes are good, lack of good certain atmosphere beforehand? I prefer to see kisses that develop naturally, rather than those spontaneous, impulsive kisses. These kinds of kisses feel cheap and it only used for marketing. This drama contains simple secret love which is common formula in short drama. What this drama better, were the leads delicate acting and chemistry.

Mutual Crush (2025) is a really nice romance miniseries with Du Ya Fei (as Pei Si Yu) and Wu Jia Lu (as Song Qing Jia) in the leading couple’s role. The cast did a good job bringing their characters to life and the leading couple had a heartwarming, fun, and fiery sensual chemistry. The overall tone of the plot was heartwarming even when the male lead had such a miserable upbringing since he was smart, fun, protective, passionate, and lovely to be partnered with the intelligent, gentle, loving, nurturing, equally strong and protective female lead. This couple had years of restrained affection for each other that, once it became clear how each one felt, it led to a beautiful, steadfast, and intense flow of emotions.
