Vertical dramas are getting better
I enjoyed this vertical drama. I’ve watched 2 versions of this story but preferred this one over the other. The acting was pretty decent here and the strongest point of the drama. I would definitely say that this one was a little more higher quality than some of the other vertical dramas out there but it’s still not without plot holes of course. I just found this one a little more entertaining and enjoyed the concept of the plot. I’d recommend this one for those that enjoy a quick watch. Was this review helpful to you?

Qin Yan Zhou Totally Won My Heart
What made me watch this:Honestly, I jumped into this drama because of Cheng Cheng, of course! Also, the synopsis caught my attention it reminded me of a similar drama I’d seen before and really enjoyed. So, I had high hopes that this version would be just as interesting.
First Impression:
From the very first hospital scene, I could tell that there would be no lack of strong acting or on-screen chemistry. The presence of all four main characters was more than enough to grab my attention.
Highlights:
1. Acting: All the actors did a commendable job! I was truly impressed by the four main leads. At times, I felt the female lead’s performance was a bit less natural, but that’s just a personal observation.
2. Pacing: Some scenes felt unnecessarily dragged out, like they were stretching to get to the main point. Long scenes that could’ve been tighter. Still, the drama managed to hold my attention.
3. Style: I felt that the drama could have used a better stylist for hair, clothing, etc. The visuals were a bit underwhelming in that department in some places.
4. Chemistry: The main couple had great chemistry. ML is really a good kisser .The male lead was obsessed and protective in a way that worked well for the story.
5. Intimacy:The kisses and intimate scenes were well done and added emotional depth to the relationship.
6.I felt that the illusion scene with the second male lead in the hospital was unnecessary.
Favorite Characters & Scenes:
I honestly liked all the characters, they portrayed their roles really well. All four characters had a strong presence on screen, even without the help of the styling department. I especially loved the male lead. He was deeply into the female lead, and it really showed in their chemistry. In the first version I watched, it was the female lead who actively initiated the closeness. But in this one, the male lead was much more proactive, which I really liked. There was no hesitation in him, he took brave, confident steps to own the moment. I truly loved that initiative from the male lead. I also appreciated the screenplay, the locations, and the different setup compared to the original version.
Some standout scenes for me:
⇒When the main couple is in bed and the second male lead suddenly enters the room.
⇒The hospital scene where the second male lead talks about how the female lead cared for him in the past and recalls those moments.
⇒Just before that, when the second female lead says: “It’s not that you both believe in her, it’s that you both don’t want to face the truth.”That line hit hard.
⇒Although I liked all the scenes, I found the male lead’s scenes especially enjoyable. The main couple’s first kiss happened when he grabbed her , bold and intense. The second kiss followed soon after, out of jealousy.
⇒Surprisingly, I really liked the second male lead and second female lead’s first kiss , it was totally in character, capturing their 'jerk and bitch' energy perfectly.
Overall Impression:
It was truly a good drama, definitely watchable. Despite a few minor flaws, it kept me hooked and delivered emotionally. A solid watch, especially if you enjoy romance with The kind of male lead who’s obsessed, deeply protective, and completely head over heels for the female lead.
