GUYS HEAR ME OUT Shirasaki and Asami's dynamic this season is SO SIMILAR to Takara and Yujin's that I was giggling and kicking my feet when the play was introduced. Double is a story about codependency between two theater actors, Takara loses his ability to speak as he experiences a shut down from being so stressed about work, one day he sees a play and he gets enamoured by the main actor, Yujin. They immediately hit it off and Yujin teaches him acting, so the story revolves around Yujin's jealousy and love for Takara, as the later quickly surpases him and experiences many opportunities within the industry, while Yujin has no option but to support him. This rivalry, man y'all need to watch this show. One of the best dramas I've ever watched period, Shirasaki's love for Asami reminded me so much of Takara !!<3
The story is about Sengoku Tetsu, an owner of an osteopathic clinic, who is suddenly entrusted with his daughter by his ex-girlfriend, and Harumi Masahiro, a manga editor who divorced his wife and took custody of his son. Struggling to raise their child as single fathers, the two decide to share a room to help each other through their unfamiliar lives. The four of them - father, father, daughter, and son - begin living together and grow up while struggling with daily life and cooking.
When Shirasaki, an underdog stage actor, gets cast in a gay drama series, he is surprised to learn that he will be working with Hayama, his charming clubmate from university who is now a popular actor. During production, Shirasaki realizes that he will need some inspiration and goes to find somewhere the local gay people hang out. What he didn't expect was to meet Hayama there, which eventually led to a kiss. He soon finds himself confused and conflicted about his feelings as he struggles to keep his emotions contained on-screen…
Japanese Latin dance champion Suzuki Shinya and Japanese standard dance champion Sugiki Shinya are both famous dancers. Although they are in different fields, their names differ by only one letter. Suzuki, who hates to lose, is irritated by being compared to the other dancer. One day, Sugiki suddenly invites Suzuki to "aim to be champion together in 10 Dances." 10 Dances is a competitive dance where dancers who have mastered both Latin and standard dance compete in a total of 10 dances. Suzuki initially refuses Sugiki's proposal to teach each other and aim for the top because it seems too reckless. However, he is overwhelmed by Sugiki's provocative and competitive attitude and accepts in anger. The two are polar opposites in terms of personality and everything and they clash, but as they take lessons every day, they work hard together and gradually close the gap. Then, Suzuki gradually realizes that he is starting to be attracted to Sugiki.
Both drama follow actors, one seasoned and one new actor, falling in love. They have to hide their love for each other as they're constantly under the limelight of fame. The industry and their rivalry to be the best brings them turmoil and tension.
