Cinderella Closet (2025)

Haruka is a “plain jane” who left the countryside to start her college life at Tokyo. She’s secretly in love with Kurotaki, a coworker at her part-time job, but she lacks the self-confidence to confess her feelings to him. Then she meets Hikaru, a glamorous but sharp-tongued fashionista who begrudingly agrees to play “fairy godmother” for Haruka. However, there’s more to Hikaru than meets the eye!

No cross dressing is involved at all in True Beauty but both have the messaging of the power of a woman’s beauty— and what bridges it— makeup :) both very cute and lighthearted

While Cinderella Closet hasn't finished airing yet, I think these dramas have some similarities even through they are also very different. The story follows a female, that for personal reasons dosent make up, who meet a stranger that will help her to accept herself fully and who also is a make up artist.
