- Chi Ye Wen Rou (2025) (aka: Guarding You Till the End) is a romance miniseries with Zhao ZhenDong (as Wen Xun ) and Zhai YiYing (as Xu Xing) in the leading couple’s role. The cast did a very good job bringing their characters to life and the lead couple had a nice chemistry. The romance is slow burn due to the male lead’s unfinished business with his parent’s death and his fear that she could be hurt in spite of his efforts to protect her. Still, the drama is nice but, to be a romance drama, this miniseries shows the lead couple’s great feelings but it lacks on showing the audience a passionate romance. In the meantime, this drama can be found On YouTube under the caption: “Cold CEO rejects all women but loves a mute village girl 10 years younger, spoiling her deeply!” (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CN03FW57cYw) or “At 18, she tamed the wild CEO 8 years older, winning his lifelong devotion” (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xPWK5ZQ82Ho)

Different story
Story is different than the usual CEO, lost pendant and the hero saved by the heroine when they were young. Leads have great chemistry and acted well. It would have been better if there are more romantic scenes between the leads but kissing scenes are very few and shown only towards the end of the drama. If not for the heroine’s perseverance to find the hero there won’t be a happy ending for them. Was this review helpful to you?
