Ruined momentum
Discovering this series and hearing Boy Sompob's voice right from the start felt magical. I really liked how it began. It gave us that fluffy, green-flag top that was impossible to resist. And can we talk about the cast? The main couple, the second couple... honestly, everyone was handsome! However, somewhere in the middle, NC scenes started becoming a major part of the series. Again, I don't hate NC scenes, but I feel they should happen at the right timing. As for the plot, the blackmailing, kidnapping, and all that, it just felt a little off for me. I'm sorry. The characters also didn't seem to have much development. Until the very end, they kept dragging themselves around with the same toxic traits. Lol.
Last but not least, that dance they were practicing. I swear they were practicing the same dance throughout the entire series. 😂

Almost Had a Tantrum
It was a silly but fine series in the beginning: your typical university boy with a platonic crush on another. The name 'Magic Move' itself has no meaning, and the series didn't have any magical elements at all. Just some fortunetelling and tarot reading, which feels like they were just added to the script to make it different or to give it a certain vibe.I was still happily binging it. The couple was happy and living in the moment, but the side couple literally stole the show. Their talks were meaningful, their scenes were beautiful, and they really had a thing and a 'story' unlike the supposed main couple.
I tried ,and really wanted to, keep going for the side couple, but after watching the preview for the 9th episode, I decided that it's just not worth it. When you make a mistake and the person you wronged stays silent despite knowing about it, that is called being forgiving, not playing tricks. And even if he sees it as a trick, his reaction made it hard for me to sympathize with him. I mean, what's the difference between you and him? He just gave you a taste of your own medicine by playing along with your trick. I wouldn't even call it tricking someone if it leads to what you truly wish for. You were so happy, just feeling guilty because of your own lie, but instead of appreciating his forgiveness, you chose to ruin everything.
He even ruined his relationship with his best friend by blaming him along with everyone else like a spoiled child, and they were begging for forgiveness. That was the biggest thing that pissed me off. This post was more like a 'why I dropped this series' explanation instead of a review, but I still hope that it helps you because I think this aspect is the most important thing to know before even starting it.

Actors work hard
The new drama "Magic Move" is the best drama ever.....Even though people critize the series as negative (-2) and find it boring and think that the sound editing is iritating....I love the series because I can feel how shy the ml couple is to act on the screen I love the effort they put in to the series...My favroute part is in Magic Move Ep 3 where they started kissing in the cart the next second they where searching for there clothes...Thank Thailand for making a Twainees Bl that makes me laugh and scream out of happiness, so to the people who likes to break of bl dramas I am warning you as many negative comments there is as many positive comments I'll post; why? Because this series sound editing makes me think of "Daung With You" my very first best loving TwBl.So don't break of actors but rather build up not the other way around thanks to people who likes to give negative comments later make actors stress and either retire or commit su****e and bl couple who are perfect toghter either break up or they dissapear from the screen because they don't whant to see negative comments. Because negative saying about you break you off - I know what I'm talking about and wasn't it for God, I either would have c*t or b***en my wrists to d** but He always made it so that there always was an urgent matter so that I didn't have the chance. I am going of topic, ain't I? Any who all I whant to say is let's help each other to build up not break down.

I should have known when I heard the bagpipes that this show was gonna be cheeks
I just finished this stupid-ass show (like a month ago now), and I have a lot to say, both positive and negative. I would give it an 8 (7.95) out of 10, and I am going to say what I liked, what I didn't like, do an episode overview, and be done with this stupid fucking show. So yeah, let's get into it.Starting out with what I liked, I enjoyed the actors in this quite a bit. I think they all did a pretty good job, even though I could tell they are kind of new at acting. The chemistry between the main couples was good, and that part I enjoyed. While I am not particularly fond of the characters, I think the actors did a good job bringing them to life. The guy who played Rit was so aware that this show was low-key ass, and it was really funny, and I low-key liked it. I wish they did more fourth-wall breaking like they did at the start because that was really funny. He was just like, well aware, like, oh my God, what the fuck am I acting in right now? And I love that for him. Also, regarding actors and stuff I liked about them, the guy who played pure lowkey was way too into his role. Like, oh my God. The looks he was giving the other guy were very good; immaculate acting on his part. He and the main love interest looked really similar, but it is okay. Very good at acting. He was very on the nose, and I hope to see him in some more stuff because I like his acting style. It feels very kind of natural, like the guy who played Rit, but more of a Hey, maybe you need to step back and realize that you guys are not actually in love, kind of natural. Still, I enjoyed it.
Moving on to the overall plot of this show, I have a lot of negative feelings about the plot, but we are going to talk about the positive ones. I really enjoyed the plot twist. I low-key was not expecting that. I was expecting this show to just be like, oh, Rit tells him, Inn gets mad, and then they just spend the whole time making up. But no, Inn has known this entire time, and he, in fact, lied back to Rit about not knowing that he is lying to him, and then he set up the entire show to be a lie on top of a lie, which was low-key good., I cannot lie (see what I did there) because I was not expecting that. With the three musketeers or whatever the fuck they were called, I thought that was weird, but I was not expecting it to be an entire lie. Like, he is paying these people to just get them married and get him in his house, which is low-key crazy. Diabolical planning on his part, that is all I have to say. And then also, with the best friend being in on the lie along with the K-pop idol, holy shit. And Rit had every right to be mad because that was fucking crazy that everyone in his life was in on this goddamn lie. I thought that was low-key well done because I was not expecting that. Also, kind of regarding the plot, I think their sex scenes were well done. They were overdone, but they did well besides the bagpipes. I did not like that. I should have known with the bagpipes that this entire show was going to go downhill from there. But yeah, the sex scenes- some of them felt a little bit out of place, but I think they still did pretty well, so good for them because they brought those to life as well.
Regarding things I didn't like, this entire show. Bullshit on bullshit on bullshit. Starting off with... The main plot, this was... God awful. I thought it was just gonna be like a nice, light watch, but it was just like, kind of sloppy. Like... Okay, so he's a fortune teller with stones, and he lies about fortune telling to get with a guy he's had a crush on since elementary school, but they have like an age gap too, but the guy also had a crush on him in elementary school, so that just gets fucking weird and confusing. They should have done the part where they show that he has had a crush on him since elementary school earlier, because it just got confusing, and I feel like they were getting lost in the sauce with this. And I'm like, okay, yeah, I think my main criticism is that the plot felt sloppy and underdone. Like, you can have underdone plots, but you need, like... To just have the plot be better, because this was just a mess. And I don't blame the actors, because I think they did okay. Uh, but the director-whoever wrote this-we need to go back to the drawing board, pick up the gun, and we need to fucking shoot ourselves, because there's actually no way that we came up with something this fucking stupid. And it's just like your sky, where they have a bar named after the thing, but instead of, like, your sky where they go to the bar once, the entire plot takes place in this fuck-ass bar. And I was like, what the hell? I feel like we're always at the bar, but also we're never at the bar. I'm so fucking confused. And also, the main guy who it's based on does not even own the bar. Like, why is it called Magic Move if he doesn't own the bar? I'm so fucking confused.
I FORGOT ABOUT THE SOUND EFFECTS. OH MY FUCKINGGGGG GODDDDDD. THE BAGPIPES WERE JUST THE TIP OF THE ICEBERG BECAUSE THEY WERE SO FUCKING BAD. WHOEVER DID THAT, I AM GONNA FIND YOU AND DO UNSPEAKABLE ACTS TO YOU, AND THEN T BAG YOUR BODY.
Going into characters, the random guy who tried to split them apart—was he doing that for the love of the game? Was he in love with one of them? I am so confused. That was so underdone and so terrible. I do not know who came up with that, but that was awful. I am so confused. Then the guy sends an AI video to In, and In goes to this abandoned warehouse to find his man, but the man is not there because the video was AI. Then the guy gets arrested; he is cutting himself, and the knife is fake. I am so confused. Who came up with that? You are terrible at your job. I cannot fathom how that went through multiple people, and everybody signed off on that. That was terrible. I also love the girls and their dance thing with the K-pop idol, but no, that felt so irrelevant. They just randomly started doing it. It is like, oh, we have a big competition to go to. What competition are we talking about? What are we doing? What is going on? They never go to the competition. They just do the same dance six times in the same outfit. The K-pop idol just stands there giving false criticism. Do not piss me off. Whoever came up with that, go back to the drawing board and ALSO grab the gun.
In the end, this show is ass; the ending was choppy, the show was choppy, and I'm irritated as fuck, HEY BUT AT LEAST WE HAVE OUR FUCKING BAG PIPIES, RIGHTTTTTT??????
Okay, onto some fun quotes from those episodes. Episode 1: "He has a crush on this tall guy who looks exactly like the guy who runs the bar just slightly cuter and I’m not quite sure how they’re gonna drag this out for 10 more episodes but okay also whoever is on the sound button you need to be fired cause what the fuck are you fucking doing you dumb bitch what the fuck there comes a point we’re past that point and you need to be fired." Episode 2: "This show is so BS and I want to hate it, but I can't lmao." Episode 3: "Holy hickory doo dah bro. This whole show. Okay so he's not wrong about the prophecy because he's in love with its less sexy twin who owns the bar. I’m gonna do one more episode because twist my arm, I guess." Episode 4: "It might be the fact that it’s 1:30 in the morning or the fact that they just played in my face for 47 minutes, but what the fuck." Episode 5: "THERE'S LIKE 6 THINGS HAPPENED AT ONCE, AND I WANT TO HATE IT ESPECIALLY WITH THE BAGPIPES, BUT FOR SOME REASON I CAN'T. I CAN'T BRING MYSELF TO HATE THIS DUMB ASS SHIT." Episode 6: "To the guy in the second couple who's not the bar owner, I would watch out after filming bc HOMEBOY LOOKS LIKE HE WANTS TO HIT THAT." "WHY HAVE WE FUCKED MORE TIMES THAN THERE HAVE BEEN EPISODES? ALSO YOURE MOM JUST GOT HOME FROM THE HOSPITAL, AND YALL ARE FUCKING IN THE LIVING ROOMM??? HAVE WE LOST OUR MINDS? I'll answer that YES WE HAVE BITCH." Episode 7: "Someone tell the guy who's playing Pure to lock out for a second because those LOOKS ARE CRAZY." Episode 8: "There are levels to this." Episode 9: "Also, the grandpa died just really quickly, like really quickly, really randomly. I'm so lost. I have one episode left. I'm gonna force myself to watch this shit, but just know I'm not gonna do it happily."
I really want to hate this show, and I do, but not fully, so I guess give it a chance; just make sure your brain is off, and your eyes are closed lmao. Okay bye!

Ehhhhhh
Man, this one felt like it had so much potential for the lighter side of BL, but I ended up liking the second couple much more than the first, especially because of Ritt. GOD he was a pain. He started the whole situation but when he found out Itthi knew about everything, HE was mad about the lying? Can you say hypocrite??And then we get 3 episodes of NOTHING. And then it just ends??? They were hot and heavy during the first half of the series and then...NOTHING? After 3 episodes of not being together? That was just stupid.

I loved its unique storyline
I enjoyed the unique storyline and the new actors. I really enjoyed it. I liked both the main couple and the supporting couple. My favorite characters were It because of his complexity and Pitcha because of the way the actor seriously could be AouBooms child… I’m just being honest. His personality is so inline as an idol character. Was this review helpful to you?

The second half is just as bad as the first half is good.
Until around ep 5 or 6. I kept looking forward for the next episode every single week. Although the plot seemed cliché I still loved it a lot. The deception, guilt, we could feel the plot thickening but once the truth was out the drama went downhill. They had 10 episodes but then couldn't distribute the plot properly. Mid series they ended up adding like 2 eps of NCs just to fill in cz they had to postpone the truth reveal to ep 8 and it was kinda obvious. Then once the truth was revealed every character's base personality just collapsed. Like every single one of them.
- Itt a nice sweet guy who's in love with his childhood friend. Yes you could feel that he was hiding something since ep 1 but then after the reveal he was like too pushy towards Ritt to accept him, not once did he properly apologize instead him and his co literally went to Ritt and kept taunting and blaming him that all this happened cz he lied
- Pure the so called best friend 🙄 he was like this friend who was really on Ritt's side for the 1st half idk how the hell he ended up becoming closer to Itt in the 2nd half after everything Ritt did for him🙃🙃 a totally trashy friend. As a lover he did fine
- Pitcha.. idk in the 1st half he seemed pretty upright to me but the "apology" he gave in ep 9 pissed me off. I get u wanna help ur friend doesn't mean u go to the bar everyday just to make Ritt feel guilty. Itt wanted a cover up and this was a whole ass drama
- Ritt i get it. He had a crush and all but then i think he should have just listened to Ritt instead of exploding for 2 eps also Itt ugh he told him he wants some time n he kept forcing him. Also if u saw the ritt from the 1st half you'd think he'd actually forgive itt cz both lied but then would have changed his mind once he knew all the friends were involved. But bro played victim since second 1 which was a shocker.
Anyways it's okay for a 1 time watch ig I am just frustrated with this one. It could have been soo much better if they didn't drag soo many people into Itt's plan, kept some solid support for Rit, Itt actually saying he was in love with young Ritt and looking for him while Itt not knowing this is him instead misunderstanding and playing along to see how far he goes (enemies to lovers kinda) or Itt falling for him later in life and then a reveal where Ritt was the childhood lover.... soo many good routes they could take but they decided to crash the vehicle

Don’t Judge It Too Fast — Every Element Serves A Meaning
First, let’s look at the cast and their performance. The actors have great presence and fit their roles perfectly, but more importantly, they bring real skill and depth to every scene. They deliver emotions naturally — from hesitation and uncertainty early on, to warmth and sincerity as the story progresses. Their chemistry feels genuine, making every moment between them believable and drawing you into their journey. Even the supporting cast adds value and feels like a meaningful part of the story, not just extra faces. That level of performance shows good direction and strong acting talent.Next is how the story begins and unfolds. The whole plot is set in motion by the magic stones — they serve as the reason their paths cross in the first place. Itt uses them as part of his work, which leads directly to meeting Ritt and starting their connection. Without this element, there would be no clear reason for them to meet, and the story would lack a solid foundation. Everything flows logically from that starting point, leading naturally into the main issue: the lie. This setup is intentional, not random.
Then comes the conflict and the twist. Starting the relationship with a lie is never presented as something right or good — it is carefully placed as the central conflict and key twist. It creates tension, doubt, and misunderstandings, and makes us wonder if their bond can survive. Even when one partner suspects the truth but stays quiet, it adds realism: it shows how fear of losing someone new can make people hold back. This conflict drives the story forward, giving the characters a real challenge to face and giving us a journey worth following.
Finally, the resolution and how it all comes together. The story builds steadily toward the later episodes, where the truth is revealed and both characters take responsibility for their mistakes. The resolution doesn’t rush to fix everything instantly; instead, it shows them talking openly, apologizing, and working to rebuild trust step by step. It makes the clear point that fate — represented by the stones — can bring two people together, but only honesty, understanding, and effort can keep them together. Every detail connects perfectly: the stones bring them to meet, the lie creates the challenge, and their choice to solve it leads to a meaningful, satisfying ending. Nothing feels out of place or left unexplained.

8/10 Magic Move 8/10
8/10 Magic Move 8/10Magic Move is a romantic BL series that tells the story of Rit, a university student who works as a fortune teller at the Magic Move shop. Using rune stones, he has gained a reputation for making surprisingly accurate predictions, attracting many customers to the shop.
One day, fate leads him to meet Itthi, a young man searching for a childhood friend he has never forgotten. After meeting Itthi, Rit develops feelings for him almost immediately and decides to pretend to be that childhood friend. What begins as a single fortune-telling session soon becomes the starting point of a story filled with romance, secrets, and unexpected twists.
The series is available on IQIYI and Moonlight Glow's
YouTube channel.
Personally, I had been following this series since the release of its Official Pilot on Moonlight Glow's YouTube channel, and when the full series finally aired, I felt it lived up to my expectations.
One of the things I enjoyed most was the way the story developed gradually and logically. The pacing allows viewers to get to know the characters and understand the progression of their relationship. I also liked how the series incorporated beliefs, fortune-telling, and rune stones into the storyline. It gives the series a unique identity and makes it stand out from many other BL dramas.
The cast is charming and delivers solid performances throughout the series. The actors fit their roles well and make the emotions and relationships feel believable. That said, there were a few scenes where the acting or dialogue felt slightly unnatural to me. Fortunately, these moments were minor and did not significantly affect my overall enjoyment of the story.
The production quality is another strong point. The cinematography, camera work, lighting, and visual composition are all well executed, resulting in many beautiful scenes that enhance the atmosphere of the series.
I was particularly impressed by the intimate scenes between the characters. These moments were filmed beautifully, balancing romance and sensuality without feeling excessive.
The use of lighting, framing, and visual aesthetics helped make these scenes both emotionally engaging and visually appealing.
Overall, Magic Move is a BL series with a fresh and interesting concept. By combining fortune-telling, beliefs, and romance, it creates a story that feels unique while remaining emotionally engaging. With its strong performances, attractive visuals, and compelling storyline, it is definitely a series I would recommend to BL fans.
Final Rating: 8/10.

Magic Move (ทำนายทายรัก)8/10
Moonlight Glow
