Don't excepting this drama
There is one unspeakable rule when i want to watch duanju for Wang Xiao Yi: Never expected too much for her romance drama. She is quite good at non romance drama role but her magic doesn't work non romance drama. Her kisses skill was quite evolved from her drama with Ye Haoran but the hot kisses means nothing if they don't have any chemistry.Wang Xiao Yi's acting felt a bit over the top at times, such as when she calls the ML "husband" in public, which felt a little "dramatic." Also, the scenes in the early episodes where she tries to seduce ML (I know it's probably scripted) felt a bit overdone. It makes me feel like the she isn't quite suited to this type of role. Liang Siwei is just another Liang Siwei, there is nothing to complain except the chemistry doesn't seems work for me and i just forget the drama after i watch this.
The plot is the same old trope of a wealthy, unloved FL reclaiming everything. The story is fairly standard, and the plot is a bit short, but it does have its unique aspects. From the beginning, the FL has a clear goal: to regain her company shares. She beats up any bad guys she sees, which is hilarious and strangely satisfying to watch. ML also knows the FL's intentions from the start and falls in love with her before she does, so he's always jealous. At least the FL character was not miserable.
Not sure if i want to recommend this drama unless you're hardcore fans of leads.

Hot kisses but I was letdown by Wang Xiao Yi's acting and the lack of chemistry
It had been awhile since I last watched Liang Si Wei and Wang Xiao Yi's dramas. A few members of subreddit CShortDramas mentioned this drama so I got curious and watched it last night. I didn't enjoy it as much as I had hoped for.What I liked
1. Styling - That red dress worn by FL was gorgeous. Overall her clothes were beautiful & elevated her confidence and coolness level.
2. Romance - Plenty of kisses - this couple wasn't shy about physical touches. ML was really into FL from the get go - he offered a massive help without being asked.
3. ML characterisation - He cared for her from the start of their entanglement. He protected FL when she barged into her family home to reinstate her intentions.
4. The wedding - Beautiful scene.
What I disliked
1. Acting - WXY’s acting was one-note. She delivered her lines like a bored housewife. There wasn't much chemistry between her and LSW. Their Intimate scenes felt stiff / performative - they lacked warmth despite the hot kisses.
2. FL characterisation - She frustrated me. She agreed to a marriage of convenience to achieve her goal but she didn't tap into her big resource (ML). Her constant "Wen Zong" annoyed me.
3. Antagonists - FL's half sister was like a petulant child with her scheming. FL's father was biased while her step-mother was annoying. There was also ML's childhood friend who just couldn't handle the rejection.

Super Hot Chemistry
Finally a romantic drama in which the story doesnt get too twisted or out of line and both FL and ML have a straight drawn out vision of what they want. The two leads have insane chemistry from the start and it only progresses as they both come closer to achieving their goals. Without revealing too much, the leads are strong, driven and dont let their insecurities drive away too far from the plot or let the slimy other family members and opponents dim their fire. It just keeps getting hotter from here! finally a drama where there's trust and strength and bonds between the leads. LOVED the hot chemistry between these two! would love to see another drama with them together.Was this review helpful to you?
