Hata is unemployed and lives in the apartment of his girlfriend, Misaki. He spends his days following Tetsuro, a part-time actor in a children's superhero stage show. Misaki, frustrated but still committed to their shared life, supports them by working as a cashier at a supermarket. Eventually, she becomes fed up with Hata's lack of direction. Tetsuro also begins to reevaluate his life. Realizing that his idle lifestyle can no longer continue, Hata finds a job and attempts to rebuild his relationship with Misaki.
