Hiroto is a carefree spirit with no permanent job or girlfriend, but no worries about the future. Because of his good personality, he becomes friends with a neighbor, an elderly woman named Wada Hanae, and they buy a single-story house for almost no money. He then begins living together with his 18-year-old cousin, Kobayashi Natsumi, who has moved to Tokyo from Yamagata to attend art school. Before long, Hiroto finds himself surrounded by people who are troubled by work, relationships, and vague anxieties about the future. A Warm Hug!
This series was like a warm hug! it was cute and seriously fun to watch. I loved that every episode was 16mins it's a good thing when you just need a fix without commitment. Because I watch alot of dramas I kept thinking that people were too nice and someone would either backstab or die lol but it waa super wholesome and I am so glad I gave it a try. I haven't read the Manga but really enjoyed the series. Hiroto qas super adorable and lives a life every adult envy because most are afraid to live bc of society. I am now in search of more series like this! Was this review helpful to you?
It's about finding beauty in the mundane
This is probably going to be one of my favorite dramas ever.It isn't typical in that you don't have much going on. Folks expecting usual storytelling arcs, with defined starts and resolutions, will be disappointed. The show is mundane at best. Stuff happens and it doesn't always end up being as consequential as you'd expect in a typical drama. I think that's what makes it beautiful and lifelike. That said there are still magical moments spread out that make the story uplifting and emotionally dense. I could say for certain that they did a great job of making emotional moments matter.
I love the cast of this show. Everyone plays their roles perfectly making the characters feel so real. Each character has something you can relate to be it anxiety, depression or a lacking sense of purpose. This is the most beautiful drama I've watched in a while, and I highly recommend it to anyone that wants something calm and moving
