Painter Jiang Zhi Xia is invited to Mapai Village in Yanbian. Facing both capitalist interference and estrangement from her father, she takes on projects to revive traditional nongak dance and restore an anti-Japanese guerrilla–era homestay. Working with tour guide Jin Feng Qiu, the two move from initial resistance to cooperation, exploring ways to preserve and renew contemporary cultural heritage.
