To support her younger siblings who violate the family planning policy, money-obsessed Shen Mu Xi signs a "childbirth KPI" contract and marries the snarky alpha boss Gu Shi Yan. Shi Yan mistakes her as someone who bullied him in school, while she wrongly assumes he is gay. Making things difficult in the workplace? Framed by a love rival? Why not focus on the primary task of couple cooperation first? (Source: iQiyi app) Edit Translation

Babies, money and love
High-school mutual crushes who never got to confess their feelings get into a contract marriage. Her mom is a baby-making factory and his family has fertility issues, so his mom recruits her to produce an heir. She needs the money, thinks he's gay, and tries to keep things professionnal while he's not over her, so of course things get messy very fast. This was short, hilarious, and sweet. Loved that the drama was so tongue in cheek with its cliches, both using and twisting them to excellent results. The drama knew exactly what it was and never tried to be too dramatic or edgy, it stayed hilarious from start to finish. I died laughing when the husband's seduction strategy got hijacked (twice !) by the sneaky SFL using the exact same plans. The only thing that could have been toned down was the (dated) way the handsy gay friend was written, but the drama is overall so over the top, and its characters so extra that it's not so jarring. It is a bit frustrating that the entire plot could have been over very fast only if the leads stopped making baseless assumptions about each other and just talked, but I guess it's part of the game. Was this review helpful to you?

Ridiculous contract relationship plot that I enjoyed a lot thanks to the good acting
I enjoy dramas about contract relationship so I got curious when a link to this drama was requested on subreddit CShortDramas. I noticed that it's available on iQIYI so I decided to watch it there. It's ridiculous but I loved it!What I liked:
1. FL characterisation - She was sensible & charming. She understood the terms of her contract and abide by it. I loved her.
2. Romance - Damn, the kisses at the start of their relationship were hot even though ML claimed that he wasn't happy with the arrangement made by his mother. I liked that both did the chasing at different stages of their relationship.
3. ML characterisation - He was grouchy but most of the time a nice guy.
4. Supporting characters - I liked Assistant Wang, ML's mother, FL's brother.
5. Acting - Both leads gave great performances and had good chemistry. They were able to express different emotions of their characters. I was moved during some scenes.
6. Plot - Ridiculous from having gazillion siblings to ML being tied to wheelchair during their marriage registration. However I enjoyed this sillyness.
What I disliked:
1. Antagonist - ML's childhood friend was pathetic. I wish ML's mother hadn't feel obliged to allow her to stay with them.
2. Bullying - Gosh, she was bullied twice at the workplace. Thank gawd she fought back.
