A Love Story That Forgets Its Full Potential
Never Forget Your Enemy presents an intriguing premise but ultimately delivers a somewhat uneven viewing experience. The series opens with Yeo Sae-byeok and Gi Ha-neul in a hospital setting, immediately establishing tension through Ha-neul’s amnesia. His confusion extends not only to his surroundings but also to his relationship with Sae-byeok, creating a foundation ripe for emotional exploration. Sae-byeok’s decision, encouraged with the support of Ha-neul’s family, to have him move in as a means of aiding memory recovery is a compelling narrative choice that drives the story forward. While the overall storyline remains consistent, the execution occasionally falters. Certain scenes feel overly exposed, as though the narrative is revealing more than necessary rather than allowing moments to unfold naturally. The use of flashbacks is effective in providing context; however, the series would have benefited from more substantial insight into the origins of Sae-byeok and Ha-neul’s romantic relationship. This lack of depth in their backstory makes it harder to fully invest in the emotional weight of their present circumstances.
One of the more frustrating aspects of the show lies in Ha-neul’s characterization. At times, his resistance to regaining his memories feels unnecessarily drawn out, even when it is clear that emotional remnants of his past with Sae-byeok still linger. His behavior can come across as immature or even petulant, though this is somewhat justified by the subtle detail that he mentally perceives himself as still being 19 years old. This nuance adds a layer of intention to his actions, even if it does not entirely mitigate the frustration they may evoke.
Despite these shortcomings, the chemistry between the leads is undeniable. Whether through moments of intimacy, bickering, or quiet physical closeness, their connection feels authentic and engaging. However, this strong chemistry is at times undermined by inconsistent acting. Certain emotional scenes lack the depth and intensity needed to fully resonate, and stronger performances could have significantly elevated the series’ impact.
The cinematography is another area where the show falls short of its potential. While some scenes appear poised to deliver visually striking imagery, they often end up feeling flat and uninspired. In contrast, the soundtrack is well-utilized, effectively complementing the tone of each episode and enhancing key moments.
By the conclusion, the title Never Forget Your Enemy takes on a more nuanced meaning. What initially suggests a story driven by conflict evolves into something far more one-sided, an attempt to maintain emotional distance that ultimately collapses under the weight of unresolved feelings. The idea of being “enemies” in the present proves unsustainable once genuine emotions resurface.
Overall, the series is enjoyable and holds moments of genuine promise. However, it never fully capitalizes on its strengths. With more refined storytelling, stronger performances, and a clearer visual direction, Never Forget Your Enemy could have been something truly memorable rather than simply adequate.

This review may contain spoilers
I did not expect that, my bad for not reading the synopsis. BUT I was positively (?) surprised. I did expect more of a love/hate relationship (like before they got to be together), but they show me how they live as a couple, after a few years. Especially as an idol and his hidden boyfriend.
They were cute together and I loved how the main character tried to accept the fact he liked his enemy, it was funny.

Not what i expected!
This was a great story, it was somtething completely else then i expected when it started.Unfortunatly the time jumps were not done very clear, so that was a bit confusing.
The visuals were stunning and the music beautiful.
The actors did a good job, the moments with emotions were done very good. Unfortunatly the "normal" acting felt a bit flat, you could see they still need a bit more experience in acting to grow and act natural troughout the whole drama.
The mains had amazing chemistry and kisses and the intimate scenes were great too. They show quite a bit, but not too much. The last intimate scene was filmed so beautiful.

How Did This Come from the Director of Love for Love’s Sake?
I really wanted to like this drama, mostly because it’s from the same director as one of my absolute favorite K-BL series, Love for Love’s Sake. But alas, it was so disappointing. I still can’t believe it’s the same director who made LFLS.The screenwriter(s) did a terrible job. Three countries (Korea, Thailand, and China) were involved, and the result was still terrible. The storytelling was really bad. Honestly, WeTV should have just given the production to a Korean team instead of a Thai team. I really wonder what they were thinking.
I hope WeTV reads the comments and improves in the future. For their first original K-BL, they did a really poor job. It was so boring that I almost gave up and just wanted to rewatch Love for Love’s Sake again and again.

Never Forget This Story
I found the story’s premise irresistible. It had me hooked from the beginning. Usually, amnesia plots are a sign of weak plot development and thus ripe for confusion and boredom. However, this one was intriguing and held my attention. Why? Because everything about it was so unexpected, including how interesting the characters turned out to be. Additionally, the acting of the protagonists was tight and quite believable. Because they did not display the usual characteristics of individuals in the positions that were supposedly representing, that is what made it so fascinating for me. These two gave new meaning to being in a life-long commitment to one another. I loved the strength and symmetry of their love story. This is a very, very good BL.Was this review helpful to you?
A Bit Disappointing
I enjoyed the premiee. The ML wakes up after an accident missing 10 years of his life's memory and has to rediscover his past. He has difficulty coming to terms with his new living situation and even has to relive some of his old traumas. It started off very interesting but there are some parts which don't make sense. Why did he think he and SaeByeok were enemies and why he couldn't imagine they were together given their past relationship? There is a scene where he was fighting with him 10 years ago but fhat situation was not clarified.
Overall the drama is nice but everything feels a bit dull and muted. There are also things that don't make sense. Like why not have security camera just in case you catch your stalker. Why the police was so incompetent? Why quit your career? Very strange.
There were moments when the episode felt like it was too slow and I had to speed it up. I will probably forget this drama with time unfortunately.

I loved it, it’s thoroughly entertaining.
Different. Unique and timely. With so many stalkers harassing actors nowadays—especially in China and Korea—this is undoubtedly a very current theme, one that truly deserves attention.
More than just a BL, it’s a sweet story of enduring love.
Although classified as a Thai drama, it was entirely produced in Korea.
The main leads are newcomers to the entertainment industry, but don’t be fooled. Their performances are outstanding, delivering both tender and daring moments that could easily rival seasoned actors. The kisses were absolutely delightful—I found myself replaying those scenes more than once. Pure indulgence, honestly.
I watched all the episodes back-to-back. Following the advice of a fellow MDL user I trust, since the drama relies heavily on flashbacks, it’s easier to follow when you don’t leave long gaps between episodes.
If you’re unsure whether it’s worth your time, I can confidently say: it’s thoroughly entertaining.
Highly recommended—. I loved it.

interesting
i had good time watching, the show has it own flaws but i do like the cast, the male leads have good chemistry and the plot is interesting,it does make sense that the show gives thai vibes as its produced by a thai company, while the actors are both korean and speak in korean language, im kind of thankful that we didnt have half of the cast speak in korean while the other half smh understand korean but reply in thai, when everyone is talking in the same language it feels more logical and watchable so there is no issue related to that here.the good points:
an interesting plot, good chemistry, visually beautiful
flaws: one of the ml acting is a bit weak
overall id love to see the mls in more bls in the future

The series title is misleading
Overall, a nice story about amnesia, loyal love, being chased by a crazy fan, a secret that should be forgotten. Thanks to the Thai production, there are bold scenes of NC for a Korean film. The actors are very handsome, they had amazing chemistry with each other. The series is mainly focused on the feelings between the partners. Apart from a few unforgivable mistakes in the script (the killer can send threatening letters and make phone calls from prison), I liked the series. Was this review helpful to you?
Sae Byeok messed up
The story concept is actually quite interesting, but the overall build-up feels messy and not well-developed. One of the biggest issues is the lack of chemistry between the main couple.Ha Neol does a decent job expressing his emotions—his performance feels natural and convincing. However, Sae Byeok falls short in comparison. His acting feels dull, with very limited facial expressions, which makes it hard to connect with his character. Because of this, the emotional depth between the two leads doesn’t really come through, and their chemistry ends up feeling weak.
That said, since it’s a short drama, it’s still watchable if you’re just looking for something quick. But beyond that, there’s nothing particularly special about it.
