Keung leads a comfortable middle-class lifestyle with his smart wife Mei and his clever son Shing. One day, he loses all his money and goes bankrupt due to a phone scam. Mei is traumatised by it. To add insult to injury, Shing also runs into debt when the online investment platform he uses shuts down. The undergraduate becomes bankrupt. To put food on the table, Keung is inspired to obtain a taxi vocational driver’s licence and become his own boss. Through his work, he gets to know people from all walks of life, expanding his once-narrow social circle. Meanwhile, determined to get Shing out of debt, Mei turns from a carefree housewife into a scammer.
