No angst drama and ML manipulative action was acceptable.

The plot is about ML, taking advantage of his amnesiac brother's illness and her supposed sister in law aka FL whose her fiancee was snatched by SFL due ML's brother amnesia by marrying her on the spot.

ML snatches it, tears off the female part, and takes it away, subtly mocking his brother. When the ML older brother looks at the gifts the FL gave him in his office, trying to recall his memories, ML sweeps them into a box and takes them all, leaving nothing for his older brother to remember.

ML was quite sarcastic especially with ML's brother wife since he knows all her scheming against FL. His action and words are on same wavelength.

ML seizes every opportunity to assert his dominance; if there's no opportunity, he creates one to make no opportunity left for his older brother. Even though the FL sees through his act, she doesn't expose him, just dotes on him. Their romance growth was perfect to see from FL sees ML as immature younger brother into capable man.

Personally I am not feel bad about ML's brother condition. SFL was quite nuisance and love how ML handled her. Liang Wenjing and Wang Peiyan nailed the character and their chemistry is passable to watch.

It's basically a story of extreme tug-of-war between a manipulative, love-seeking ML and a mature, intelligent, and resolute older sister. It's good, I love watching it

Brilliant drama about a man winning the affections of a woman dumped by his brother

Thanks to Reborn at 18: The Great Grandma Takes Charge, I got to discover Wang Pei Yan's talents. I remember when this drama was released. I watched it on reelxia within 3 days of its release then later found out that my reddit friends also watched the drama. We enjoyed this drama immensely that we co-wrote a joint review.m for r/CShortDramas.

What I liked:
1. ML characterisation - He was a flirty puppy but sneaky at trying to win FL's affections. I also liked that he had a successful career - he's not just a rich kid.
2. FL characterisation - Loved that she didn't wallow in self-pity once she found out about her boyfriend. She got her heart broken but there was no second chance.
3. Romance - The banters between FL and ML were fun to watch. There was some sexual tension brewing between them. When they finally got intimate and kissed, the scenes were hot.
4. Acting - Terrific performances by Wang Pei Yan, Liang Wen Jing and the cast. I even liked the actor who played SML.
5. Styling - I loved FL outfits as they matched her personality - cool & confident. ML wore oversized clothes which mostly looked fine on him. I liked the Labubu collection!
6. Supporting characters - I really liked ML's parents for being supportive and understanding.
7. Writing - One of the best written dramas. Well developed arcs for the four lead characters.

What I disliked:
1. Antagonists - SFL was insecure, jealous and a gold digger. She was also the type of woman who defines her worth by having a man. ML's brother (the SML) was pitiful at first because of his situation but then he became despicable & disrespectful towards FL. He was silly for not doing a background check on the woman he was going to marry.

Amnésia e ML chá verde, uma ótima combinação!

Eu dei muita risada com o personagem do Wang Pei Yan, acho ele um ótimo ator, seja quando faz os papéis secundários quanto protagonista. O personagem dele sendo um pouquinho chá verde foi hilário, apesar dele ser extremamente bem sucedido nos negócios o seu jeito leve faz com que o drama tenha um equilíbrio perfeito hahahah
Não sei porque jurava que a Liang Wenjing era a He Yi Ting kkkk gosto muito dela no papel de FL, e acho que os dois combinaram muito bem.
Eu AMO plot de amnésia, ainda mais neste caso que era real, confesso que com o desenrolar da história fiquei até com dó do ML até ele ficar do lado da 2FL na cena do banquete, e no final, quando ele recuperou as memórias eu já não conseguia torcer por ele, porque concordo com tudo que a FL disse a ele nas cenas finais.
É um drama super divertido de assistir, apesar da 2FL sempre causar problemas, eu gostei da postura firme da FL e do ML para que ela nunca tivesse sucesso em suas artimanhas.
Eu ri muito com a cena do ML fingindo estar bêbado, e adorei saber que há outras adaptações da mesma história, darei uma espiadinha básica. hahahah
