Letdown by Zhu Xiao Xue's bland acting. She was miscast!
I was in the mood for Xie Yu Wang dramas so I was excited when this drama was released. I had not watched Zhu Xiao Xue's acting so I was curious. I must say I was disappointed with this drama.What I liked:
1. Styling - I always see some 90s Johnny Depp in Xie Yu Wang. So when ML dressed like a rockstar for this drama, I simply loved it.
2. ML characterisation - I liked his flirty nature.
3. Supporting characters - I liked ML's assistant, FL's grandpa & FL's bestie.
4. Kisses - Good kisses thanks to XYW.
What I disliked:
1. Antagonists - FL's fiancé / boyfriend & his adopted sister were mean.
2. Acting - Unfortunately Zhu Xiao Xue seemed out of place. This drama has a tinge of comedy even with revenge focus but ZXX lacked charm to pull off this role. There was no chemistry between her and XYW. I also disliked the acting of SML. His acting lacked conviction for a scumbag who was willing to harm FL. The actor seemed goofy with that styling & acting style.
3. Romance - Sadly I didn't buy the romance arc at all. FL was more focused on revenge against her ex - she couldn't be bothered with ML until the last 20 minutes or so. The lack of chemistry between ZXX & XYW also didn't make me want to root for them.

Zhu Xiao Xue and Xie Yu Wang made this drama great
So my standards for cdrama plot lines, acting, production are very very low lol, so my score is relative to the average modern or historical vertical cdrama (of which i have watched far far far too many).The plot was the average cdrama reborn, enacts plan for retribution against sml and sfl, ml is the brother of sml who has loved her since their pinky promise childhood days. The plot is well executed, so it gets a 5 because it's perfectly average, nothing remarkable or pioneering. And it was done well with no alterations that would make it worse, like constant torture for the fl to endure or prolonging frustrating misunderstandings.
The real highlight is the leads' acting. they were so so so good on screen together!! Incredible chemistry and plenty of kissing/teasing/flirting. Zhu Xiao Xue is a great actress and I really like a lot of her work and same with Xie Yu Wang. when Zhu Xiao Xue's character is pretending to contemplate whether or not to take the sml back after exposing his infidelity, she can't even be bothered to pretend like she likes that man, absolutely dogwalks him. And the ml is piping hot green tea that's always teasing her when the sml is around. The way they both are so expressive with their eyes is just >o
And I can't forget her grandpa who's on the ml's side. If the ml is fragrant green tea, her grandpa is the teacup.
It's a solid choice for anyone looking to scratch the green tea ml itch or for anyone looking for a well done vertical cdrama. The quality acting genuinely breathes life into this tired plot. You won't feel like you wasted 2 hours or regret using the little time you had today to watch a drama on something unsatisfying or horrible.
As long as you feel like the plot, regardless of how cliche or repetitive, is entertaining then you will enjoy this drama.

2 horas e 39 minutos rindo e aproveitando o CP!
A Zhu Xiao Xue e o Xie Yu Wang estão lindos neste drama, seus figurinos são maravilhosos e valorizam muito seus corpos, principalmente os vestidos da personagem da Zhu Xiao.É engraçado porque a foto do MDL do Xie Yu Wang não valoriza NADA o ator, então sempre que o vejo nos dramas eu fico pensando o quão bonito ele está kkkkkk
O plot já é bem conhecido, a FL renascida, se vinga do noivo traidor e da 2FL chá verde, mas este drama vale a pena pela interação dos atores principais, sério, eles tem uma química em cena e uma tensão muitoooo boa, apesar de nem todo beijo ser uau. Mas todas as cenas do casal sozinhos são muito fofas e parecem bem naturais a atuação então faz com que a gente fique com aquele sorrisinho bobo no rosto. E todo o drama parece que estamos realmente acompanhando o casal lutando contra a família e o 2ML.
A amiga da FL sem dúvidas é bem engraçada nas suas reações, principalmente quando encontra a FL com o ML no banheiro logo no início, e a maneira que o ML provoca constantemente a FL me fez rir kkkk O avô da FL é o melhor personagem também e o secretário/amigo do ML. Esse trio deixou o drama bem divertido.
Eu ri alto com o vaso verde caindo na cabeça do 2ML depois de uma cena bem intensa da FL com o ML no banheiro dela.
Umas das melhores cenas também foram: a FL no hospital cuidando do ML quando a enfermeira entrou e o pós-alta do ML com o avô da FL kkkk
