not really a dating show nor a casting show and for a fact not reality...
While most of the boys look cute to charming to handsome, this was the most scripted show I could imagine. First, five episodes of just the daily life and the "missions" are not nearly enough to do anything useful. When we know that everyone does not know each other, without one couples exception, it feels very unsecure and unsure. They are really young, have not much experience especially with what they want in a partner and there were not a lot of in depth talks.Patji & Ryujin were build up to be a couple, but even this show added unnecessary drama if they really go together or not - which felt so cringe. Of course they will be together, they know each other for about two years and both of them would not choose a stranger.
So, all in all it was a very scripted show, easy on the eyes but it felt not natural at all. They would have needed not a week but at least a month, they would have needed lots more episodes. Maybe there were in depth talks, but we did not see them and that would have been much more interesting. OK to watch, but not interesting at all.

THIS SHIP MUST SAIL
PUNGCOPPER has so much potential I swearrrr!! also ryujin, my boy, you gotta fight for your man or he may slip away!!! that possesive stare didn’t mean nothing 😂I absolutely adore TleFirstone so I’m so glad that they got to be included this season, and as always, firstone was making Keng feel unc, even when he is not there lmfao😂. They were lowkey giving old married couple and I’m all here for it!
Pete and Patji absolutely destroyed the singing competition, I’m so happy to see patji grow from season 2 and I can’t wait for the next ep!!!!!

The most scripted season ever
I remember writing a review when I watched Be On Cloud's "The Hidden Character". That show was scripted to the wazoo and back and was mainly intended to find a partner for Ta. Funny enough, most of the people who appeared on that show are no longer with Be On Cloud, including Copper, who now appeared on this one.Well, this season of "DMD Friendship" has to be the most scripted and planned in advance yet. So far, we know this show is designed to find BL partners for the new generation of artists hired by Domundi. We know this show is also designed to find new BL partners for artists from previous generations who had a partner and something ended it up (see Tommy-Jimmy for example) or who decided not choose anyone during their own season because they were not mentally ready (see PatJi and Ryujin or TeeTee and Por in the previous generation).
All that is fine, however, it is a bit annoying to have a show when you already know most of the outcomes by episode 1 or 2. We knew Thomas and Kong or Keng and Namping were going to be a couple 2 seasons ago. We knew TeeTee and Por and Save and Auau were being paired up last season. And we also knew Jimmy needed a new partner so Ohm became the main candidate by episode 2, when Jimmy was "surprisingly" brought in episode 2 of last season.
This season was no exception. Ryujin and PatJi were going to be a couple but we needed some possible drama like PatJi not being 100% sure, so their storyline dragged for the whole season without much mystery in the end. Copper remained as fake as I remembered him from "The Hidden Character" so I can't really say I like him, but I do get why many find him charming. Pung acted in "Khemjira" and looked so green in the show but I was surprised when he maturely talked to Copper about not feeling ready to have a partner. Although, I don't think Copper was going to choose him anyway.
Wave looked he was going to cry when nobody chose him. Pete is the youngest if I'm not mistaken, so I think this is like PatJi in the previous season not being ready for a partner yet. Porsche's acting in "City of Stars" was mediocre at best... plus, he is already 30 years old and while age is not an issue, the closest in age to him is Phupha who is 7 years younger. That made it a bit more complicated as he was seen as the "older brother" and not partner material.
The cruelest thing was the Otto-Phupha-North triangle. Phupha and North chose Otto and we had all this mystery of who he was going to choose. In the end, Otto chose North but the writers decided to have him walk in front of Phupha, say goodbye, and just keep walking to find North. If I were Phupha, I would be angry as it was just designed as a scripted plot to showcase their triangle.
In the end, we have yet another season of the new DMD artists looking for a BL partner. The show seemed to revolve around PatJi and Ryujin, Copper-Fifa, and the North-Phupha-Otto story but felt way more scripted than previous seasons and there was no clearly evident chemistry among the resulting BL partners. Ryujin seemed to confident about PatJi but not the other way around. Fifa and Copper give me the same type of vibes, North and Otto might work depending on the roles. Plus, from what little acting they did for one of the missions... I'm not sure about the acting quality we will get.

They should've waited to put season 3 out...
This season was definitely frustrating to watch, and I think a big reason is that this group is the youngest and hasn’t known each other for very long. In previous seasons, you could tell from the conversations that most of the participants already had some level of familiarity, which allowed for deeper, more thoughtful discussions instead of just figuring out the basics.Episode three really highlighted this for me—when Namping and Aof asked what they look for in a partner and then followed up by asking who fit that description, many of them seemed unsure or hesitant. As an audience member, that uncertainty made it feel like they didn’t fully know what they wanted yet. I couldn’t help but wish they had more time to work together as a group before the show, because that same uncertainty carried through the entire season and became increasingly frustrating to watch.
I also understand why no new participants were introduced to “spice things up”—everyone was already new to each other, so adding another person would’ve just felt like adding another body rather than creating meaningful dynamics. I especially felt bad for Porsche, who barely had a chance to connect with the group. The significant age gap was very noticeable, and I think the season would’ve benefited if factors like that were considered more carefully.
Another confusing aspect was hearing some participants say they were there mainly to gain experience and grow as artists—which is completely valid—but at times it felt like that priority outweighed actually building or finding a partner, which is the core premise of the show.
Going forward, I really hope DMD chooses a group that’s had time to build a foundation within the company—through events, shared projects, and time spent together—so there’s both growth as artists and more natural relationship development, like in previous seasons. That said, I genuinely wish the formed couples the best and hope they succeed. 🤍

DoMunDi TV production is back again with its cute "partnering show" to promote its next BL pairings
A little more than 1 year after "DMD Friendship the Reality Season 2" featuring 4th gen actors, DoMunDi TV production is coming back with a new season introducing this time its 5th gen actors. This season shared similar issues than previous ones but slightly worse. The show felt even more scripted than the previous ones, with the recipe loosing with each iteration a bit of magic and genuiness. Of course, there is still are still a good share of deliciously cringe but also adorable moments. I also quite enjoyed the cast, even if there was some misses and favoritism, it was less unbalanced than S2. It is still very fun to play the guessing game, even if it felt pretty obvious with some unavoidable bias for the participants coming back.
In addition of the outcome feeling pretty predictable in its majority, I think my biggest disappointment was the last episode with the talent show. What was literally an evolved school play production in S1 and S2, definitely did not improve with a lot of very average performances with a couple of exceptions.
Despite its flaws, I would still recommend this to people that have enjoyed the previous seasons or that are a fan of DoMunDi TV production. Even if I wish DoMunDi production had much more ressources to create series at the same pace they are always onboarding more and more actors into the various generations, I will probably watch a season 4 if they make it as it hits a very cute and cringe vibe that I enjoy a lot. Still, I wish they would take a break to allow their current pool of actors to shine.

i liked the cast
watching the cast, it was overall enjoyable, but i think that its a shame if Wave and Phupha dont get main lead roles because they were not picked, they are the most attractive in the show and this should not be wasted.maybe they will pair Phupha with James? who knows lol as he was flirting with him ,he obviously wants to act with him.
the part where Otto walked in front of Phupha then walked away saying bye. that was cruel. why they made him do that? for more drama? im happy for the ships that sailed, while i find both Ryujin and North amusing, they made it really feel like they are in a dating show not a couple matching for work XD

Emotional Rollercoaster
Pungcopper presents such good chemistry that would fit so well in thriller/horror genre. During the show, they have made me go on a full on rollercoaster - i fear being a fan of them isnt for the weak. We will see how the next episode pans out, im just hoping that pung doesnt see a teddy bear in the episode😭😭I do have to mention that the new challenge they implemented where a experienced "bro" gives advice was really interesting to watch, giving deeper insights on what they want their future to look like and their goals.
Also, its hilarious seeing how downbad north and ryujin are💀💀

Downgrade and Disappointment
Was this series a joke? They didn't even try to lipsync in the last episode, although they are actors and the audio was bad nonetheless.
These companies need to stop trying to make everyone an all-rounder. There are guys with ZERO experience on this show and its obvious. Thats fine, that's normal. But why would they put singing, dancing, acting and doing allnof these live on them at the same time?
The results?
1. Couples that only have chemistry because both of them are attractive, so every interaction will be visually pleasing.
2. Performers that look unsure, uncomfortable, dont perform live and aren't acting their age and bandwidth.
3. Bad series, because you try to pump them out in a way that is pleasing to the broad mass rather than giving different vibes with different couples.
Before you get mad, I have examples of pairings being done right:
TutorYim are balanced, comfortablewith each other (but they got treated with a fu*kass scipt for their own series and way too little screen time during CutiePie)
TeePor, no dumb stereotypical roles put on them, they are god performers and started their group after several attempts in the entertainment industry and their first minor role in YourSky.
Jj and Net aren't out yet, but what I saw of them was full of harmony in a way that both of them WANT this. They chose each other, not because of a certain expectation, but because both of them love to act and want to make it in the industry and actually, thats what actors should portray.

Least favorite season
For me this was the least favorite season. First of all i only knew Pung and Porsche as actors and i don't like Porsche as an actor.Pung is a good actor and i was sad to see that he took a step back from Copper to give him a chance with Fifa. Pung and Copper had so much more chemistry!
The only end coupe that gave me real chemistry were Patji and Ryunjinn. They are still so young, i think they will have a promising future together.
It's nice to see how starting actors are in real life, that gives a much better point of reverence in how well they are acting, so that is why i like this show. I don't know why, but this season didn't feel as good as the other two did.

Chemistry is Chemistry'ing'!
This is my first time watchin' a dmd friendship series. I've not yet watched S1 & S2. First 4 episodes of S3 had many butterfly-giving moments. Other than Pung from Khemjira series, I was not at all familiar with the other faces. The best thing about this was the chemistry between 2 boys that caught me from the first five minutes itself. Wondering who? It's no one else but North & Otto. From the first look in North's face when Otto entered the house, I noticed some spark. This spark I noticed gradually caught up heat evoking many sweet and wholesome moments between them. While North was so damn sure of how he wants Otto to be his partner, Otto pretends to be unsure to 100% but I'm pretty damn sure that he secretly enjoys being with North. Their CHEMISTRY IS CHEMISTRY'ING'.Another shop I noticed was Ryujin & Patji. Though Pat-ji's feeling are not yet known completely, Ryujin adores him so so much. I love them. Not to mention Pat-ji's extraordinary vocals & how Ryujin kept praising them.
Wave is so cute and adorable that I felt like I want to keep holding him in my palms. Fifa, I hope he would end up with Copper cuz they have this iconic comfortability with each other and are really talented. Pete is the one who I observed has gave me that wow-factor with his charm & vocals. He is so shy and outgoing at the same time which makes him stand-out for me ( stand- out in a good sense). Phupha is already looking like a male lead, he has such a perfect figure and strength. Porsch is that guy literally everyone wants to make friends with. Personally I found him the sweetest but I couldn't find any potential partners for him in this 4 episodes maybe because of the feeling of age gap with the other. I don't mean that age gap matter, but here I didnt feel any spark. I felt him as that best sweet friend I want to have. I want him to be patterned with someone 2-3 years younger that him. Pung, I have the same feel like I have to Wave, I just want to keep him close in my palms. His introvertness make him a potential y/n (iykyk).
I'm waiting for 5 & 6 episodes. Imina North-Otto, Ryujin-Patji, Copper-Fifa...
