So the films aren't necessarily similar but I was getting some of the same vibes of a human being th bride of the supernatural one. So this is a main themes that I thought was very similar at least:
In 'The Ogre's Bride', Yuzu's life changes when Reiya identifies her as his bride. She goes from being a disregarded human girl to someone with an extraordinary position within the ayakashi world. whereas in 'Hanaoni', Kanna's life is similarly uprooted when she is taken to Kigasato/Onigazato, the secluded community where the oni and their brides live.
So basically they share that overall theme of human x Oni. Its also a human who's life kinda gets uprooted or at least changed to intertwine in that of the supernatural.
