Fiery chemistry in this jiejie romance drama set in the art world
I was browsing drama catalogue and this drama's pister caught my attention. It had been awhile since I last watched Zhao Xi Xi's work. Glad I watched this drama because it was good.What I liked:
1. Romance - Damn spicy intimate scenes. I felt like they were going to combust everytime they made out. This is a jiejie romance with ML devoting himself to FL's cause.
2. FL characterisation - She was desperate, she put her mother’s need first. I liked the fact that she's knowledgeable in art.
3. ML characterisation - Hidden identity out to investigate SML. ML was devoted, talented & sneaky.
4. Acting - Great performances by Zhao Xi Xi and Su You Cai. Damn, the chemistry was fiery.
5. Visuals - Stunning leads + beautiful paintings.
6. Editing - Beautifully shot scenes from the paintings to the intimate scenes.
What I disliked:
1. Antagonist - SML was a jerk for taking advantagr of vulnerable woman. I also disliked SML's sister for her rude beahviour.

Emotional depth between the leads is the highlight in this drama.
I watched this last year and decided to put in on shelf since there is no sub until i rewatch this with better subtitle.Zhao Xi Xi and Su You Cai have sparks in their interaction and the chemistry was on in this drama. It was the highlight in this drama. Su You Cai perfectly captures the "deeply affectionate and forbearing" character, with expressive eyes while Zhao Xi Xi 's initial vulnerability and later explosive power are well-done and delicate.
The most immediate feeling while watching the series is: the emotional intensity is high, and FL's transformation from forbearance to awakening feels very realistic. Watching her pick up her paintbrush again with the male lead's encouragement and dare to fight against injustice evokes a sense of "healing" resonance. However, the plot framework is indeed clichéd. "Marriage to save one's mother," "ten years of waiting," and "oppression by a wealthy family" are common tropes in short dramas. Moreover, to extend the number of episodes, a lot of melodramatic plots involving supporting characters were added. and it becomes a bit aesthetically tiring, and some conflicts even feel unnecessary.
Worth to watch, if you want to see emotional depth in the drama with cliché plot.

Cast: Zhao Xi Xi e o Su You Cai fizeram a química explodir neste drama com suas cenas intimas de tirar o fôlego. E sinceramente, é isso que um casal que tem toda essa tensão sexual um pelo outro deveria demonstrar em cena, mas infelizmente nem toda produção colabora para tal. Mas aqui há e muito, principalmente no começo, depois parece que da uma acalmada e os beijos ficam mais curtos e suaves. Seus figurinos eram bonitos e valorizam muito a beleza de ambos.2ML & 2FL: Eu tiro o meu chapéu para o ator Zhang Guan Sen, porque o seu personagem me lembrou MUITO do ator Zeng Xi Tang no drama Hook Bait, já que ambos os personagens são completamente abusivos com os seus "canários" e usam da violência e ameaças para ter o controle sobre a situação.
Mas em relação aos irmãos, bom, farinha do mesmo saco, né? Neste caso não teve como fugir kkkk, são doidos, controladores, abusivos e tóxicos. Gostei da conclusão de ambos, achei foi pouco kkkkk
O drama em si é bom, como eu citei acima, me remeteu muito o Hook Bait, mas lá era corporativo e aqui a FL e o ML eram pintores, gostei do cuidado que a produção do drama teve em mostrar pinturas realmente muito bonitas e que tinham uma camada densa para analise e interpretação, porque nem todo drama curto tem esse cuidado, então fiquei extremamente feliz.
Principalmente o quadro da gaiola e o seu significado oculto.
Porém, eu tive que pausar muito o drama ao longo dessas apenas 2 horas (para cuidar dos meus animais que estão demandando mais atenção por saúde) e toda vez que eu voltava a assistir, parecia que a história não estava evoluindo, era mais conspiração, reviravolta que já tinha acontecido uma ou duas vezes e que estava acontecendo de novo, então quando faltava apenas 30 minutos o meu pique foi diminuindo, mas talvez isso seja apenas a minha percepção já que eu tive tanta interferência externa.
