Watarai Kiichiro, a craftsman who runs a small watch shop that has been passed down for generations in a shopping district, has been living a lonely life with the feeling that time itself has stopped since losing his beloved wife Sayuri two years ago. One day, he stops in his tracks upon hearing piano music coming from a restaurant and meets a young man, Sasaki Takumi, who is playing the piano. Takumi possesses an innate talent for piano, but burdened by guilt after losing his mother, he has given up on his dream of becoming a pianist and lives in a state of stagnation. In order to fulfill Sayuri’s wish from when she was alive—“I want you to play Debussy’s ‘Clair de Lune’”—Kiichiro begins taking piano lessons from Takumi. Then, as if watching over them, letters begin to arrive from Sayuri, who was supposed to have passed away… Will Kiichiro be able to fulfill Sayuri’s wish and successfully learn to play “Clair de Lune”?
