Janine Gutierrez and Charlie Dizon are definitely the main highlights of the series. Their acting was truly great, and the chemistry between them was amazing. They were so cute and adorable together, even though the series had only a small GL element. I absolutely loved their moments as a couple. 🥰❤️ The story was predictable, but it was still a fun watch! ✨
At just 6 episodes, the production moves at a brisk pace with no filler. The cinematography uses cold tones and natural forest lighting that enhance the mysterious aesthetic. The reveal of the island's and family's secrets unfolds gradually, balancing moments of graphic horror with somber investigations. Balaraw: Blood Island is a solid and refreshing addition to Netflix's international horror catalog. It is perfect for those seeking a dark mystery with creatures, rituals, and a touch of regional folklore without giving up family mystery drama.
