Tsukioka Mikoto, who graduated from the nursing faculty of a national university in Matsumoto, Shinshu, spends her busy days working as a nurse in the internal medicine ward of a small general hospital in Azumino. One day, a new resident doctor who graduated from the same university arrives. His name is Katsura Shotaro. The first thing he says upon meeting her is the slightly odd question, “Where is the faucet where I can change the water in the vase?” It turns out he was born into a flower shop in Tokyo and simply loves flowers.
