A lone warrior cutting his way through the world of bonsai armed only with a strong Japanese spirit, skill, and his late master’s golden scissors. Hirao Masashi is the last apprentice of bonsai master Kato Saburo, the first man to introduce the beauty of bonsai to the world. After his master passes away, Hirao, feeling constrained by the conservative culture of the local bonsai business, decides to embark on a journey overseas to showcase his speedy, stylish bonsai performances.
