Huy, a fallen Vietnamese comedy star, travels to Thailand to film a low-budget horror movie in a colonial-era mansion once owned by a friend of the legendary, late director Master Hai. The house, sealed since a mysterious fire and rumoured to be haunted, becomes the set for Huy's eccentric crew: a diva, a cowardly singer, and a mute medium. They expect a slapstick production, but the 16mm lens captures more than fake ghosts. Each frame unearths dark secrets of the Vietnamese film industry, turning laughter into confessions. As production spirals out of control, Huy realises that people are often more terrifying than spirits.
