Kuma wa Uso wo Tsukanai (2027)

Ichinose Kanna, a detective with the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department investigating the mysterious death of an idol, traces the victim's personal connections and the drugs that caused her death to a man who becomes a key person of interest. A single photograph is found in the man's room. It shows a familiar landscape from Kanna's hometown in Hokkaido. Meanwhile, back in her hometown, incidents of brown bears attacking livestock have been occurring frequently. Struggling to deal with the situation, the local authorities ask the solitary brown bear hunter Kitano Taizo to eliminate the bear, but he has a special connection to this particular animal. Kanna and Taizo, an estranged daughter and father who have long failed to see eye to eye, find themselves pursuing the same truth from two different places.
