Senkaku 1945 (2027)

Two ships carrying many women and children set out from Ishigaki Island for Taiwan, but they come under attack by U.S. forces. One ship is sunk, while the other, its engine damaged, drifts ashore on Uotsuri Island in the Senkaku Islands. Their food supplies quickly run out, and one after another, their companions lose their lives to illness and starvation. Desperate to seek help from Ishigaki Island, the survivors decide to build a sabani, a traditional small boat.
