Monet: Across the Sea of Time (2027)

The story is set in Kobe in 2016. Sonobe Ryu, a serious and diligent young man, has already risen to the position of supervisor at a shipyard despite his age. Unable to fulfill the dreams he once had, however, he simply goes through the motions of everyday life. One day, Toyoshima, a senior colleague at the shipyard, hands him a photograph. Old and faded beyond recognition, the photograph had been entrusted to Toyoshima long ago by Matsukata Kojiro, the shipyard's first president. As Sonobe sets out to uncover the mystery behind the photograph, he discovers the untold story of the Matsukata Collection, the works of art amassed by Matsukata.
