Finally omw, I couldnt wait for it to end. I've been regretting y I started it in the the first place but the first 2 episodes when they were young were the best.i loved the naive boy and blind actress thats y I continued hoping, then as the characters grew up 10 yrs later it just dragged and got mopey and boring I found myself forwarding something I never thought id do.i wanted to scream at soo wan coz she would take 50 minutes to make a move or say word. They shouldve recast her.
The story is good but the acting lacked alot. Dong joos mom and dong joo were my fav. I love big bang but seungri was just too much it was forced sometimes fake. Dong
The music was annoying esp "hold me" and "run run" coz it was whenever a slow scene or drag was happening. Also the siren in the fire station
Overall I wouldnt sit thru that again, it was a struggle just to watch all episodes

This drama was absolutely heartbreaking and beautiful! I definitely loved Goo Hye Sun's acting. The story was really cute and emotional. Soundtrack was really good and gave this great vibe. The story was a bit unrealistic with the characters all being somewhat connected and its a bit cheesy but in a good way, other than that it was great and unique. I will definitely rewatch this!

"Angel Eyes" tells the story of a tragic romance between Park Dong Joo and Yoon Soo Wan.

The two met as teenagers and instantly fell in love. Soo Wan is blind, so Dong Joo was her way of seeing the world. A terrible accident happens and Dong Joo's mother dies, but she wanted to help Soo Wan until the end, so they performed a cornea transplant, allowing Soo Wan to see again.

The two end up growing apart and meeting again years later. Dong Joo recognizes Soo Wan immediately, but ends up keeping his distance from her because Soo Wan already has a boyfriend, Ji Woon. Dong Joo tries to hide his feelings and his identity, but Soo Wan begins to see similarities in him with the boy from her past.

This romance is one of the best I've ever seen in a kdrama. The chemistry between Dong Joo and Soo Wan is simply tangible. The intensity of their love, their connection is wonderful. I feel sorry for Ji Woon, but there was no way I could root for him, not with Soo Wan's past with Dong Joo, they deserved to be together, to be happy together, after everything they had to overcome.

We have moments of happiness between the two, but of course the tragic truth had to come out. When Soo Wan discovers that her eyes are those of Dong Joo's mother and when she thinks that her father killed her on purpose to get those eyes, the guilt leaves Soo Wan desolate, to the point of losing her sight because she didn't want her that way. She only finally decides to move on and forget the past when she almost loses Dong Joo in an accident. Soo Wan realizes that she can't change what happened, but she can be happy and be grateful for the gift Dong Joo's mother gave her.

This drama is so beautiful, in every sense. The couple, the story, the soundtrack... I don't even have words to describe the incredible experience of watching this drama. It's unmissable.

Loved it

This was the show that made me realize that my taste in k-dramas is quite different from majority of the users here.

Maybe because my show count was not so massive I didn't find too many cheesy scenes and it felt fresh.

The story grabbed me and it was interesting until the end.

The cast was really good even though that I liked the young version cast a little better, nonetheless it was a good casting choice.

There were some questionable choice made but I keep going back and rewatching it... so it's a win for me.

So I would highly recommend it, but maybe check my list to see if my taste matches yours before you do so.

slow paced with lots of miscommunication between lead couple

This one started out good but ended up going down hill for me. I was interested in the storyline and had continued to watch because I wanted to see what happened when everything about Dongjus mother came out. it was slow paced and drawn out with lots of miscommunications. Suwans actions never seemed to make sense to me and by the time it was over I didn’t really feel connected to the characters or cared if they found their way to one another. I did think the storyline between Haeju and Teddy was cute. I also have a friend who really liked this one but it didn’t work out for me.

Angel Eyes (2014) - I enjoyed watching this drama and Lee Sang Yoon here, for me, is soooo handsome. I don't know if it because of his role as a firefighter or the uniform but he is gorgeous here. I love the younger version of the main leads. They are cute and innocently romantic together. They also did well in terms of acting and I felt the emotions that they portrayed in the drama. As to the older main leads, they did not disappoint me as well. I think they portrayed the characters really well in terms of acting their respective roles. The main setback for me in the drama is the storyline's pacing and how it flowed, I think it got dragging. Still, I cried alongside them and I think this drama was worth my time.

Koo Hye Sun puts in a good performance. I'm not lying. Honest

I'm a bit of a Koo Hye Sun apologist when it comes to her acting but I thought she was really good at this. She tends to get head strong, tomboyish characters and she is really good in that type casted role. Her chemistry with Lee Sang Yoon was solid. Perhaps not sexually but just them interacting with each other felt natural and normal. I can totally buy these two being a couple. Lee Sang Yoon as Park Dong Joo was really good. His natural charisma and likability allowed me to connect instantly.

The story was touching and sad in parts. Angel Eyes showed their history almost perfectly, to the point a lot of people would've prefered more of it. Of course, it's not actually perfect as you do get “coincidences” such as the lost letter *eye roll* and etc. I also don't think they established a good time line for the past events. When Dong Joo met Jae Beom, when they got close, when they went to the states, etc. Initially we're shown Dong Joo and his Sister going to the States right away for surgery. But then later, it's said Jae Beom helps send him, or they come back and he sends them to the US again? It's not very clear. Either way, the present day story is done well. Although I feel for Kang Ji Woon’s character, he could've been left out entirely. It made things a little messy but when it was all said and done, I didn't have any reservations about Soo Wan going to Dong Joo. I think the side plots were cute with Fireman Gi and his relationship with his son and his younger colleague. That family dynamic was wonderful. And that only got better with the inclusion of Elle. The eventual split was actually earned, unlike a lot of romance dramas that use it to pad out the run time but it still was the worst aspect of the drama as a whole. The next time I watch this, I'll likely skip those episodes entirely.

Read before you watch...

At the beginning the series is amazing and there is nothing worst part but later on felt really bad for second male lead because he really loved the girl might be the too but it didn't seem that hard for girl. Also about the murder mystery was not much allined and not satisfied with so many damages because of that one lie though they had potential to make it better. Also with the Main lead were like something happened they go seperate even though it is not not necessary that could have been soughted with words too. Also so many accidents, attacks, conspiracy, death that just felt like too much and also for me personally it just felt like "Oh God Again, No Way🙏😮‍💨.....

but 🤭 just felt like nice story made wrong in order to make it long.

Also in the part where I thought the main male lead's sister is admiring the older man by saying 'smells like dad' i really genuinely wanted a father and daughter scenario but the girl proposed him, how could she even do that when she was saying feels like dad. I mean like howw??

Superb Acting for the Younger Cast!!! Nam Jihyun and Kang Ha Neul chemistry

I know my review was a decade late lols, but after watching this drama this year I can say that the younger cast made me feel to watched this drama. Nam jihyun and Kang Haneul portrays their role amazingly, how I wished i would talk to the director not to replaced them and still make them as the older soo wan and dong joo.

Overall the drama, makes my heart flutter , with lots unfortunate events such as the death of dong joo mother and it really breaks my heart. Kang Ha neul is such a heartthrob and Nam Jihyun is sooooooo pretty. They nailed the role of their innocent love.

I wish Kang Ha neul will be paired again with Nam Jihyun because they have UNDENIABLE CHEMISTRY.
