Chinatsu is a twenty-something lesbian who is in love with her friend and roommate, a straight girl Kyoko, a free spirit of sorts, that enjoys painting, flirting up with guys and even sporadically leading Chinatsu on. Although the two have a passing attraction, the object of Kyoko's more fervent affections is a man who tends the fish in a pet store, who doesn't even acknowledge her attention.
