
ASTRO's Cha Eun Woo is confirmed to make a grand comeback to the big screen.
On April 3, media outlets reported that Cha Eun Woo would star alongside Kang Ha Neul in the upcoming movie titled First Ride.
Cha Eun Woo's agency Fantagio confirmed the reports and shared, "Cha Eun Woo received the offer to star in First Ride. After carefully reviewing, he decided to join the new film. We are grateful for the interest and love for our artist Cha Eun Woo and ask for your continued support on his future endeavors."
First Ride follows four longtime friends who embark on their first overseas trip as they turn 30, leading to a series of unexpected events.
The upcoming film will be the next work of director Nam Dae Joong. He is known for creating the movies Love Reset, Homme Fatale, and The Last Ride.
Cha Eun Woo and Kang Ha Neul will also be joined by Kim Young Kwang, Kang Young Seok, and SECRET's Han Sun Hwa in the upcoming film.
The release date and filming date of the upcoming film First Ride have not yet been disclosed.
Cha Eun Woo is currently busy filming for his upcoming K-drama, The Wonder Fools. He will work alongside Park Eun Bin, Kim Hae Sook, Choi Dae Hoon, Im Sung Jae, and Son Hyun Joo in the new series.
First Ride will be Cha Eun Woo's return to the big screen after three years. He last starred in the 2022 movie Decibel, led by Kim Rae Won, Lee Jong Suk, Jung Sang Hoon, Park Byung Eun, Lee Sang Hee, and Jo Dal Hwan.
Cha Eun Woo will also be featured in the tribute song for his fellow late ASTRO member Moonbin, set to be released on April 19, 2025.
