'A Shop for Killers Season 2' teases fierce showdowns and stylish action in new stills
On July 16, the production team of SBS's upcoming Friday-Saturday drama Flex X Cop Season 2 released the drama's second teaser.
Flex X Cop Season 2 follows Jin Yi Soo (Ahn Bo Hyun), who uses wealth and connections like cheat codes, and veteran detective Joo Hye Ra (Jung Eun Chae) as they team up to take down increasingly cunning criminals.
The second teaser opens with the Gangha Police Station Violent Crimes Unit 1 boarding Jin Yi Soo's private jet as they head off on a mission. When the unit's new leader, Joo Hye Ra, remarks, "It must be nice to be rich," Jin Yi Soo confidently replies, "It's not exactly a bad thing, is it?" — a remark that reflects the boldness born of his immense wealth. Whether basking in the spotlight at a glamorous party or enjoying his hobby at an exclusive shooting range, Jin Yi Soo once again delivers laughs with his lavish lifestyle as the attention-seeking detective who still hasn't quite outgrown his chaebol roots.
Another key highlight of Season 2 is the dynamic chemistry between Jin Yi Soo and Joo Hye Ra, who are partnering up for the first time. Though the two initially clash at every turn, the drama promises immersion as Joo Hye Ra gradually warms to Jin Yi Soo after witnessing his fearless side, such as when he relentlessly pursues a suspect's vehicle in his supercar.
The teaser also ratchets up the tension by introducing Yoo Sung Won (Yoo Seung Ho), a new chaebol character joining the series. At first, Yoo Sung Won warmly embraces Jin Yi Soo with a cheerful smile, but the teaser then takes a chilling turn as he is shown with his face covered in blood, wearing an eerie grin. The striking contrast heightens curiosity about his true identity and the role he'll play in the story.
Flex X Cop Season 2 is scheduled to premiere on August 7. The K-drama will be streaming on Disney+. Watch the teaser here.
