JTBC's upcoming drama Human X Gumiho (tentative title) has revealed its lineup.

Human X Gumiho is a fantasy rom-com in which a bewitching being — a nine-tailed fox — who enchants humans and a shaman who attracts such supernatural creatures meet at a crossroads of fate.

Jun Ji Hyun takes on the role of Gu Ja Hong, a two-thousand-year-old gumiho who lives as a top actress capable of captivating people with both extraordinary acting skills and stunning visuals. Born with a talent for bewitching people, she constantly stirs up scandals, but one day she meets the one and only human, Choi Seok (Ji Chang Wook), on whom her magic doesn't work. Jun Ji Hyun shared her thoughts: "With such a wonderful director, writer, staff, and fellow actors gathered, we will all approach this project with one heart and one mind, and bring our best to the audience."

Ji Chang Wook plays Choi Seok, a skilled shaman and the director of Oseong Museum. He is a person who seems lighthearted and cheerful in everything, yet he also possesses a special ability to perceive and feel the harsh aspects of the world. One day, he begins to feel an inexplicable curiosity toward the gumiho who freely intrudes into his territory, which leads him to face unexpected changes.

Ji Chang Wook said, "This work not only highlights the chemistry between the human and the gumiho, but also showcases the witty back-and-forth between the characters." "The script was compelling because, as each episode progresses, you become more curious about what happens next, and the narrative between Choi Seok and Ja Hong was truly intriguing. We are enjoying filming, so I ask for lots of interest and support from viewers."

Cha Joo Young plays Ji Woo Kyung, the CEO of Wookyung Entertainment, and Gu Ja Hong's good partner. A formidable woman, Ji Woo Kyung is the only person who knows the true identity of the gumiho Gu Ja Hong. Cha commented, "The director, writer, and fellow actors are all cheerful people, so I'm looking forward to sharing good energy on set and filming joyfully."

Kang You Seok takes on the role of Go Tae Seung, the deputy director of Oseong Museum. He is a person who skillfully stays by Choi Seok's side, and he has been Choi Seok's only friend since childhood. Kang Yoo Seok said, "I feel grateful and excited to be part of such a wonderful project. It is a great honor to work with director Kim Jung Sik, writer Lim MaeRri, and many senior actors in one project. I will do my best to express Go Tae Seung's charm well."

Kim Jong Soo plays Man Gwan, Choi Seok's grandfather and the owner of Oseong House. Kim Jong-soo said, "I am delighted to work with such a solid production team and excellent actors. I will do my best in my role to ensure this becomes a beloved production."

Kim Min Seok takes on the role of Beom Yi, an Inwangsan tiger who enjoys a leisurely, carefree life. However, the 500-year-old unexpectedly ends up living with Choi Seok and Go Tae Seung. Kim said, "The story was so tightly woven and exciting that I read the entire script in one sitting. This character has a different texture from the roles I've shown before, so I have a strong desire to perform well. I hope viewers will look forward to it."

The lineup of special appearances has also been revealed.

Hwang In Youp plays Sam Yi, a three-legged dog considered the gumiho's natural enemy. He has carried a hostility toward Gu Ja Hong for more than a thousand years due to a past incident.

Kim Seol Hyun and Lee Jae In take on the roles of Yeon Yi and Bang Sang, who hover around Gu Ja Hong and Choi Seok, respectively.

Human X Gumiho will air on JTBC and will also be released worldwide on Amazon Prime.
