Flex X Cop Season 2 has unveiled stills and Jung Eun Chae's short interview.
Flex X Cop Season 2 follows Jin Yi Soo (Ahn Bo Hyun), who uses wealth and connections like cheat codes, and veteran detective Joo Hye Ra (Jung Eun Chae) as they team up to take down increasingly cunning criminals.
In the drama, Jung Eun Chae plays Joo Hye Ra, the new leader of the Violent Crime Team 1 and a former ace member of the National Police Agency's counterterrorism team. Ahead of the premiere, she discussed the drama and her character in an interview.
Jung Eun Chae revealed why she decided to join the project, saying, "I was captivated by its unique wit and thrilling plot developments." She continued, "I was curious about how the unfamiliar character of Joo Hye Ra would shake up the existing universe and how she would blend into it," adding, "I wanted to try portraying a character who is rough around the edges but human and has a strong sense of independence."
She introduced her character, saying, "Joo Hye Ra is a person who not only possesses rich experience and strength but also has the capacity to listen to and trust each member's perspective."
Regarding the styling, she hinted, "In this project, I will show a character who has both a sense of gravitas and agility."
She also shared her thoughts on taking on the comedy action genre for the first time: "The unity and trust among the actors were the most important things," adding, "I tried to naturally absorb the bright chemistry and energy we exchanged with one another and blend into the set."
Regarding the relationship between Jin Yi Soo (Ahn Bo Hyun) and Joo Hye Ra, which is one of the key points to watch for this season, she explained, "They have completely opposite personalities, like water and fire, but they also have strangely similar aspects." "The journey of them starting off with a mismatched superior-subordinate relationship and growing into perfect investigative partners will be portrayed in an interesting way."
Regarding her co-star Ahn Bo Hyun, she praised him, saying, "He was always present on set as Jin Yi Soo himself," and added, "As a fellow actor, his passion and flexibility became a great source of inspiration for me." She continued, "In real life, he is very witty and adorable."
