The upcoming Netflix melodrama You and Everything Else has confirmed its release for September 12.

You and Everything Else tells the story of two friends — Eun Jung (Kim Go Eun) and Sang Yeon (Park Ji Hyun) — who, from their youth to adulthood, like and admire each other the most, yet also feel jealousy and hatred, until one asks the other to be by her side in her final days.

The teaser begins with Sang Yeon hurling harsh words at Eun Jung, "I hate that you're fine. I want to see you ruined, like me." Eun Jung responds to her with words laced with resentment, "If you understood, even a little, how radiant you once were, you wouldn't do this to yourself," revealing a conflict between the two. It then moves on to show how the two, who had spent a long time together since childhood, eventually grow apart in their friendship.

"Being around Sang Yeon makes everything about me feel so ordinary. Insignificant, even," says Eun Jung. "That's when I knew. That's when I sensed that I could never beat her," says Sang Yeon. The story of two friends who, at times, admired each other and, at other times, felt inferior towards each other, vividly portrays feelings that anyone might have experienced toward a friend at least once.

Director Jo Young Min said of the work: "I thought 'companionship' was the color of this story. As you follow the lives of Eun Jung and Sang Yeon, you might come across your past self, think of a friend, or find it touching on your own life or the lives of people around you. I think you might come to understand someone, forgive someone, or even come to know yourself."
