'Doctor Cha' actor Song Ji Ho announces marriage to Kim So Ri
Doctor X has unveiled a new Episode 1 preview.
Doctor X is a medical drama that follows Kye Su Jeong (Kim Ji Won), a genius surgeon who proves what it truly means to be a doctor through skill alone as she "operates on" a medical system steeped in absurdities.
The Episode 1 preview depicts Kye Su Jeong's first appearance after being dispatched from a staffing agency for doctors to Guseo University Hospital.
In the teaser, Gye Su Jeong draws a large "X" toward Park Tae Kyung (Kim Woo Seok), who asks for her name. She also refuses to bow to the hospital's hierarchy, asking, "Why are you performing an open surgery?" and declaring, "You must not."
The hospital staff tremble with fear, saying, "Everything could be shaken up because of this person," while Jang Hee Sook (Lee Jung Eun), the head of the staffing agency, wears a confident smile as she calls Su Jeong "the best ace at our agency".
Hospital director Boo Seung Kwon (Son Hyun Joo) ominously says, "It's a tail that can be cut off anyway," adding to the tension. Park Tae Kyung's desperate voice can also be heard from the operating room, where he is left alone, crying out, "What are we supposed to do if everyone leaves? There's no one here." Together, these moments foreshadow the gripping medical noir that is set to hook viewers from the very first episode.
Doctor X is coming October 9. The K-drama will be streaming on Netflix. Watch the preview here.
