Adopted from the novel of the same name by Wang Ke, Shadow Punisher is set in the fictional timeline of the Great Shi Dynasty, during the 37th year of the Hongyun Era. Luo Yunxi is the main protagonist Li Si infiltrating the Imperial Detective Bureau, to uncover secrets related to the truth behind a specific death. After thirty-seven years of peace and prosperity, a long-brewing storm of bloodshed and chaos is about to descend upon the empire. He and a team of talented officials encounter a series of baffling, sinister mysteries, as six bizarre cases deepen suspicion and fear of a greater evil at work.
Nonchalant air accompanied by a guileless smile masking a calculating mind and patient shrewdness, Li Si can extract crucial clues in casual banter with a stranger. His colourful approach of retorts is in stark contrast to a carefree exterior. The capabilities of Li Si and the officials he meets are the initial key complication in their relationships, especially when he has to work with Meng Rui and Bai Zhen Zhu. Steve Zheng Wei Wen is a Hong Kong Director holding the professional title of "First Class Director".
