Kim Jong Kook is officially tying the knot. 

On August 18, Kim Jong Kook personally announced that he will be tying the knot this year. The singer also informed fans of the new chapter in his life through a handwritten letter.

Kim Jong Kook personally announced his wedding plans during a filming of his show, Running Man, on August 18. Although the full episode is set to air on September 7, the scene with his announcement will be edited and released in advance.

In his handwritten letter, Kim Jong-kook shared a personal message about his 30th debut anniversary. "Although I didn't create the album I wanted to make," he wrote, "I instead got my other half." He also revealed that the wedding will be a small, private ceremony with only family and friends, and promised to work harder and live diligently.

Kim Jong Kook also promised that he will work harder and live diligently.

The Running Man episode featuring Kim Jong-kook's official announcement will air on August 31.

Kim Jong Kook started his career as a member of the K-pop duo Turbo in 1995. The group disbanded in 2000. 

In 2001, Kim Jong Kook debuted as a solo artist and also embarked on his career in different activities. He is active both as a singer, entertainer, and actor. 

He has made an appearance in K-dramas such as Old Miss Diary, The Girl Who Sees Scents, and The Sound of Your Heart. He is one of the supporting roles in the K-drama The Producers, led by Cha Tae Hyun, Gong Hyo Jin, Kim Soo Hyun, IU, Na Young Hee, and more. 

Kim Jong Kook is currently active in the SBS entertainment programs Running Man, My Little Old Boy, his solo program on YouTube, Gym Jong Kook, and more.
