'A Love Other Than Yours' and 'Love on the Menu' will not air this weekend
Upcoming Korean movie The Table: Day and Night has confirmed its release for November.
The Table: Day and Night follows four pairs of men and women who pass through the same café as the seasons shift from summer to fall, capturing their witty, understated, and endearing conversations. The film stars Kim Min Ha, Joo Jong Hyuk, Han Sun Hwa, Chang Ryul, Shim Eun Kyung, Lee Hee Jun, Jeon So Young, and Kim Dong Hwi.
The film follows the chance encounter between Yoo Jin (Kim Min Ha) and Hyun Oh (Joo Jong Hyuk), who visit the same café at different times of day; and the quirky reunion of Sang Mi (Han Sun Hwa) and Young Min (Chang Ryul), who attended private tutoring together in middle school. It also depicts the meeting between web novel writer Hye Jin (Shim Eun Kyung) and filmmaker Dong Nam (Lee Hee Joon), along with the tender moments shared by Na Kyung (Jeon So Young), an aspiring idol, and Jong Soo (Kim Dong Hwi).
The teaser draws attention with its beautiful visuals and lyrical quality, infused with director Kim Jong Kwan's signature cinematic sensibility.
In a café, the characters spend time there from summer through autumn, by day and by night. As their paths sometimes flow together and at other times overlap, their expressions reveal different emotions, including excitement, surprise, curiosity, and hesitation.
Yoo Jin and Hyun Oh, whose story unfolds like a dream across day and night; Sang Mi and Young Min, who experience a thrilling and strange reunion; Hye Jin and Dong Nam, who get off on a fiery first encounter; and Na Kyung and Jong Soo, who pass through a bittersweet and tender final moment — the stories of these four couples are set to capture hearts through director Kim Jong Kwan's cinematic aesthetic, which portrays the subtle emotions embedded in everyday life, as reflected in the tagline, "Every moment we loved is here."
