Kim Min Ha plays an energetic and playful student in 'Way Back Love'

Way Back Love gives a glimpse of actress Kim Min Ha's look from the upcoming TVING original series. 

Way Back Love is a fantasy drama that follows Jung Hee Wan (Kim Min Ha), who has lost the will to live and is living in isolation, as she reunites with her childhood friend, Kim Ram Woo (Gong Myung), now a grim reaper.

The stills capture Kim Min Ha transformed into the character of Hee Wan. Dressed in a school uniform — a fresh look — Hee Wan lights up the classroom with her bright smile. Another still captures a glimpse of her writing a letter to someone, sitting at her desk late at night, carefully putting her thoughts into words. 

Hee Wan is the epitome of an energetic and mischievous student — she runs well, eats well, and plays well. Quirky and unpredictable she is always stirring up trouble. But, the following stills show her wearing a grim expression, like her life has taken a drastic turn. 

Kim Min Ha shared, "I remember crying and laughing a lot when I first read the script. Set against the backdrop of spring, it all appears very youthful, making it feel nostalgic, delicate, and beautiful."

She added, "I hope viewers can also feel their own spring and warmth [through this story]." Regarding actor Gong Myung, she described him as "an actor with a clear and comforting charm," adding, "He always makes those around him feel at ease and also has the playful innocence of a high school student."

She continued, "You can really see those qualities in Gong Myung's eyes. He looked so much like Ram Woo that it helped me immerse myself in the role. Even now, I feel truly grateful to him."

Way Back Love will premiere on April 3. News about the K-drama's global OTT platform is yet to come.
