Singer and actress Kim Se Jeong's agency has addressed reports claiming that she purchased a penthouse.
On July 15, a representative from her agency, BH Entertainment, told OSEN, "It is true that actress Kim Sejeong recently purchased a home. However, reports claiming she bought a penthouse worth around 3 billion won are false. As this concerns her private life, we ask for your understanding that it is difficult for us to comment further on specific details such as the location, the property's price, or her residence's type."
Earlier that day, a media outlet reported that Kim Se Jeong had purchased a penthouse apartment in Seoul's Gwangjin District valued at around 3 billion won.
As Kim Se Jeong has been active not only as an idol but also as an actress, the news of her reportedly moving into a penthouse quickly trended across Korean media.
Kim Se Jeong first debuted in 2016 after being selected as a final member of the project girl group I.O.I through Mnet's audition survival program Produce 101.
In addition to her music career, Kim Se Jeong has also been working as an actress since her acting debut in the 2017 KBS2 drama School 2017. She gained particular popularity through The Uncanny Counter series and Business Proposal and is in talks to star in the upcoming drama The High School Queen.
