Actress Lee Chung Ah was injured in a traffic accident and is currently discussing her departure from her next project.
On September 18, Lee Chung Ah's agency, Management SOOP, told Star News, "It is true that Lee Chung Ah was in a car accident," adding, "She is currently discussing her departure from the project."
According to a report by MyDaily that day, Lee Chung Ah was in a car accident last month while traveling to a drama filming location. It was reported that the accident further aggravated the pre-existing condition of her lower back.
Despite receiving treatment following the accident, Lee Chung Ah returned to the set of The Obedient Killer and continued filming. As she was strongly committed to the project, she reportedly tried to continue filming while enduring the pain, but she was recently advised by medical professionals to minimize movement for at least a month.
The Obedient Killer tells the story of a woman whose only goal in life was to become an ideal wife and mother, but who takes an unexpected job in order to survive in the world outside her sheltered life. Set in the 1970s and 1980s, the drama is described as a "pure and delicate noir".
