Lee Hye Ri and Hwang In Youp share comments on their upcoming K-drama 'Dream to You'
Doctor on the Edge has unveiled fresh stills.
Doctor on the Edge is a medical drama that tells the story of public health doctor Do Ji Ui (Lee Jae Wook), who arrives on Pyeondong, an island no one wants to visit, and the secretive nurse Yook Ha Ri (Shin Ye Eun).
The stills capture the meeting of Do Ji Eui and Yook Ha Ri, who will play a part in what becomes Do Ji Eui's nightmarish "island assignment". For him, who has trauma related to the sea and islands, even being on a boat feels like hell. In his tightly shut eyes, one can sense exhaustion, as if he is struggling to suppress his fear and nausea.
Breaking through Do Ji Eui's forced composure is Yook Ha Ri, a university hospital nurse who returns to Pyeondong Island carrying a secret. The pics showing Yook Ha Ri standing dangerously on a railing with a sorrowful expression and Do Ji Eui urgently trying to stop her suggest something serious is unfolding. In the following still, Do Ji Eui is seen waking up in a hospital, raising curiosity about what exactly happened to him.
They are also seen going out together on a home-visit medical consultation as a public health doctor and nurse at the Pyeondong Health Center. However, their expressions while looking at the patient are far from cheerful. Following Do Ji Eui, whose face shows a mix of anger and concern, Yook Ha Ri also looks distressed and sad. Attention is focused on who the patient they will encounter is, as well as the stories of the two characters, each carrying their own secrets and wounds.
The production team commented, "In the first week, Do Ji Eui's struggle to adapt after being assigned to Pyeondong Island will be depicted. We ask viewers to look forward to what the first incident will be that happens to Do Ji Eui, who must be cautious of events, people, and even love on Pyeondong Island, and how his relationship with Yook Ha Ri — whom he encounters during this challenging adjustment period — will unfold."
Doctor on the Edge will premiere on June 1 and be available on Disney+ (select regions).
