Lee Jae Wook and Shin Ye Eun's 'Doctor on the Edge' unveils teaser

Doctor on the Edge has unveiled a new teaser.

Doctor on the Edge is a medical drama that tells the story of public health doctor Do Ji Ui (Lee Jae Wook), who arrives on Pyeondongdo, an island no one wants to visit, and the secretive nurse Yook Ha Ri (Shin Ye Eun).

The teaser begins with Do Ji Ui arriving at the local health clinic after being assigned to the island. Though it appears peaceful, the reality is that the clinic is "on standby for emergencies 24 hours a day." True to the island's notorious reputation, nonstop emergencies and urgencies keep erupting one after another.

Meanwhile, Yook Ha Ri becomes a support for Do Ji Ui as he grows increasingly overwhelmed by his blurred identity between being a soldier, a doctor, and a public servant. Staying by his side, she tells him, "If you want to save people, sometimes you have to cross the line." 

A fierce storm of change is also on the horizon. The people at the health clinic each carry fears about the sea and their patients, deepening the intrigue.

Set on the beautiful yet isolated Pyeondong Island, the teaser further raises anticipation for their growth and journey through hardship as Yook Ha Ri says, "When the people on this island are sick, the only ones they can rely on are you doctors."

Doctor on the Edge will premiere on June 1 and be available on Disney+ (in select regions). Watch the teaser here.
