Doctor on the Edge has unveiled stills featuring Lee Jae Wook.
Doctor on the Edge is a medical drama that depicts the story of public health doctor Do Ji Ui (Lee Jae Wook), who arrives on Pyeondongdo, an island no one wants to go to, and the secretive nurse Yook Ha Ri (Shin Ye Eun).
In one of the stills, Do Ji Ui is seen performing surgery. His steady hand movements offer a glimpse of his skills as a plastic surgeon.
As a public health doctor serving alternative military duty in South Korea, he is assigned to Pyeondong — an island everyone avoids — where he faces new challenges.
Lee Jae Wook described his character Do Ji Ui as "a person who has not had much experience beyond studying," adding, "Do Ji Ui finds everything difficult and frightening in unfamiliar environments and situations. I tried to naturally portray his clumsy, somewhat pitiable side, as well as his endearingly awkward, human charm."
Doctor on the Edge will premiere on June 1 and will be available on Disney+ (select regions).
