Ji Soo distances herself from brother's controversy, attorney issues statement
The script reading scene for Reborn Rookie has been revealed, attended by Lee Jun Young, Lee Joo Myung, Jeon Hye Jin, Jin Goo, and Son Hyun Joo.
Reborn Rookie follows Kang Yong Ho (Son Hyun Joo), chairman of a leading corporation, who, after an accident, finds himself as soccer player Hwang Joon Hyun (Lee Jun Young) and ends up living a second life where he has to start over as a rookie employee at his own company.
Lee Jun Young plays the soccer player Hwang Jun Hyun.
Lee Joo Myung takes on the role of Kang Bang Geul, the hidden child of a chaebol family. She appears to be free-spirited but harbors dangerous ambitions.
Jeon Hye Jin plays Kang Jae Kyung, and Jin Goo plays Kang Jae Sung, Chairman Kang Yong Ho's children.
Kang Jae Kyung is a woman who, once fixated on something, charges ahead without regard for consequences. Kang Jae Sung is a man with an inferiority complex.
Son Hyun Joo plays Kang Yong Ho, the chairman of Choi Sung Group, who built a company through indomitable will.
The production team stated, "From the very first reading, thanks to the actors' in-depth contemplation of their characters, an impressive moment was created that felt as if we had stepped into the drama," adding, "Not only do the relationships between the characters come together in an engaging way, but the intense psychological battles within a chaebol family over inheritance are also added, delivering a fresh and novel kind of fun. Reborn Rookie will premiere on May 30.
