Netflix has unveiled the character stills for its upcoming series Mousetrap

Mousetrap is a mystery chase thriller that follows Moon Jae (Ryu Jun Yeol), whose name, face, and entire life are stolen by a mysterious man known as "The Rat".

The newly released stills foreshadow the three men's unpredictable pursuit of — and confrontation over — the mysterious figure known as "The Rat."

Moon Jae is shown confused after a mysterious figure known as "The Rat" steals his everything. The journey of the reclusive novelist as he searches for the truth behind the life that was taken from him promises to deliver both a deeply unsettling sense of realism and gripping suspense. Ryu Jun Yeol vividly portrays Moon Jae's crumbling life, piquing curiosity about how he will reclaim both his identity and his life.

Other stills highlight No Ja's (Sul Kyung Gu) commanding charisma and imposing presence. Searching for his lost money, No Ja becomes entangled in the bizarre incident surrounding Moon Jae. One image, showing him chasing someone with a metal bat in hand, hints at his relentless determination and willingness to stop at nothing to achieve his goal.

Director Kim Hong Seon praised Sul Kyung Gu's casting, saying, "He's an actor with outstanding acting skills, perfectly suited for the character of No Ja."

The still showing Detective Soon Yong (Lee Kyu Hyung) examining a document sparks curiosity about the file that has landed in his hands. His determination raises anticipation over how he will unravel the case surrounding Moon Jae.

Mousetrap will premiere exclusively on Netflix on Friday, August 28.
