Ok Taec Yeon announces marriage with handwritten letter

Singer and actor Ok Taec Yeon (36) announces marriage.

On November 1, Ok Taec Yeon shared a handwritten letter on his social media handle, announcing he'll be getting married to his longtime girlfriend. 

His agency 51k stated, "Ok Taec Yeon has promised to spend the rest of his life together with someone he has been with for a long time," adding, "The wedding will be held privately next spring in Seoul, attended only by family members and close acquaintances. As the bride-to-be is a non-celebrity, we ask for your kind understanding that further details will remain private."

They continued, "Even after marriage, actor Ok Taec Yeon plans to continue greeting [fans] through good projects and various activities. We ask for your continued warm support and love for him."

Here is the letter from Ok Taec Yeon:

Hello. This is 2PM's Ok Taec Yeon.

I wanted to share my news first with my fans, who have always cared for and supported me, before anyone else, which is why I've picked up my pen [to write this letter].

It has already been 19 years since I debuted as a member of 2PM. Starting with the program Superstar Survival when I was 19 up until now, I have been able to come this far because all of you have been with me every step of this long journey. I felt it was my duty to share my news first with all of you, who have always cherished and supported me.

I have promised to spend the rest of my life with someone who has understood and trusted me for a long time. We plan to walk the path of life together while becoming pillars of support for one another in the future.

Once again, I would like to sincerely thank everyone who has supported me with an unchanging heart and made it possible for me to become the person I am today. I cannot fully express in words how much strength your love and support have given me.

I will continue to do my utmost to repay your love and trust in the future as a member of 2PM, as an actor, and as your Taecyeon.
