
Park Min Young will reportedly star in a new K-drama depicted from a Japanese series.
On March 18, media outlet JTBC Entertainment shared an exclusive report revealing that Park Min Young has been chosen to lead the upcoming K-drama Siren.
Park Min Young's side responded to the reports and shared that the new K-drama is one of the works offered to her and she is still reviewing it.
The upcoming K-drama is titled Siren, and it was derived from Greek mythology. The story will be depicted from the 1999 Fuji TV series Ice World led by Takenouchi Yutaka and Matsushima Nanako. It will revolve around an insurance investigator at Ross Insurance who gets caught up in a mysterious case following a female teacher's death.
According to reports, the upcoming K-drama will be the next work of director So Jae Hyun (The Player 2: Master of Swindlers and The Witch's Diner). Studio Dragon will produce the new K-drama.
The broadcast channel and airing date of Siren are still under discussion.
Park Min Young is currently busy filming for her upcoming K-drama The Confidence Man KR. She will work alongside Joo Jong Hyuk, Park Hee Soon, and Hyun Bong Sik in the upcoming comedy crime K-drama.
Last year, Park Min Young led the hit web novel-based series Marry My Husband with Na In Woo, Lee Yi Kyung, Song Ha Yoon, Lee Gi Kwang, and Gong Min Jung. Many praised the actress for her performance in this series.
