Park Seo Joon shares insights into his character in JTBC's upcoming rom-com Surely Tomorrow.

Surely Tomorrow follows Lee Gyeong Do (Park Seo Joon) and Seo Ji Woo (Won Ji An), who have been lovers twice — first when they were twenty, then at twenty-eight. Years later, they reunite as a reporter who broke a celebrity affair scandal and the wife of the man involved in that very scandal.

Park Seo Joon shared his thoughts, saying, "I'm greeting viewers with a drama airing on TV for the first time in five years. Looking back, there was also a period in my life when I spent my days waiting for dramas that aired twice a week, and thinking about feeling that excitement and enjoyment again after such a long time makes me look forward to it."

Regarding why he chose Surely Tomorrow, he said, "In recent years, I mainly appeared in works with strong genre elements, but this story is closely connected to our everyday lives and is something many more people can relate to. When I received the script, there were many aspects of the early-twenties Gyeong Do that I resonated with, and I found it appealing that I could portray the span of time a single character has lived — from that period up to the present, now that he has become a working adult."

With this, curiosity grows over how Park Seo Joon will depict Lee Gyeong Do's growth and transformation. Describing him as "a character who is pure — sometimes to the point of seeming immature — but unwavering and sincere," Park Seo Joon also talked about the approach he took to portray him, saying," rather than depicting change, I tried to maintain consistency."

He added, "I think Gyeong Do's greatest charm lies in his heart and attitude that remain unchanged even as time passes. Of course, I tried to give slight differences in external aspects such as his voice or manner of speaking, but I filmed while putting the most thought into the depth of his emotions."

Concluding, Park Seo Joon urged viewers to tune in: "I hope all of you will spend a warm year-end and New Year with our drama."

Surely Tomorrow is coming on December 6. The K-drama will be streaming on Prime Video.
