'Agent Kim Reactivated' breaks records upon premiere
Claim is being made that actress Song Ha Yoon's side attempted to mislead the public by offering a cryptic explanation.
On June 26, a video titled "Did the Investigation into Song Ha Yoon's School Violence Get Overturned? Controversy Over False Explanation... Why the Whistleblower Was Left in Tears" was uploaded to the YouTube channel "Entertainment President Lee Jin Ho".
Previously, in April 2024, Song Ha Yoon became embroiled in allegations of school violence. At the time, an individual identified as "A", who claimed to have been one grade below Song Ha Yoon in high school, alleged that in the summer of 2004 — about 20 years earlier — they had been subjected to school violence by Song Ha Yoon, including being slapped for about an hour and a half. "A" also alleged that Song Ha Yoon had been involved in a group assault incident and was forced to transfer to another school.
In response, in July of last year, Song Ha Yoon categorically denied the school violence allegations and, through her legal representative, filed a criminal complaint against "A". In February of this year, the authorities decided not to refer the case for prosecution, and Song Ha Yoon's side subsequently filed an objection to that decision.
On June 25, Song Ha Yoon's legal representative revealed that the criminal complaint Song Ha Yoon had filed against "A" had recently been referred to the prosecution with a recommendation for indictment.
However, Lee Jin Ho pointed out, "The prosecution ordered a supplementary investigation, and the investigation is still ongoing. Yet, for some reason, Song Ha Yoon's side stated that this case was changed to a decision recommending indictment on March 19 and was forwarded to the prosecution. A referral with a recommendation for indictment is different from an ordinary referral."
He continued, "March 19 is the day Song Ha Yoon filed her objection. But to say that the case was referred to the prosecution with a recommendation for indictment on that very same day? That's practically impossible." "As a result, because Song Ha Yoon's side filed an objection, the case was automatically forwarded to the prosecution through a standard police referral."
The side of "A" also explained, "The claim that the case was referred with a recommendation for indictment doesn't make sense. The police had already decided not to refer the case for prosecution, and because Song Ha Yoon's side filed an objection, the prosecution is to simply review the case again. It cannot be said that a recommendation for indictment has already been confirmed."
They went on to say, "We have not received any contact from the prosecution. We've checked everything, and although we don't know what they based that statement on, we believe it is inaccurate. The police only told us, 'Our original position has not changed, and we intend to forward the results of the supplementary investigation to the prosecution.'"
